The conversation is about skills. In basketball, skills are considered how you move your body around to be effective. Every single aspect of the game looks different AND IS MORE EFFECTIVE than it did/was before the 90's.
Y'all are having this "everything would be a travel" argument as if the NBA didn't have players who used finesse in the 60's 70's and 80's. It was allowed, just few players were able to utilize it.

Yes of course. Because the rules also mandated that you must have robotic jump shot form and shoot push shots around the basket with defenders right under you instead of using 1 hand floaters or gliding to the basket to lay up off the glass.
Of course, my whole argument has been put to rest. Yes, y'all are correct. Dribbling rules definitely caused ugly finishing around the basket also.

There are very few players with ugly jump shot forms and ugly finishes around the basket today. Especially ones who are effective with it.
