This a Zach Lowe account? Nobody is touching Hayward's contract right now.

If NO takes him back in a Brow trade, I won't watch the league next year. That would be absolute bullshyt.

Hayward isn't better than any of the young Lakers players at this very moment and he makes $30+ million.

He's not going there right now though, plus money is not a problem, they would end up overpaying somebody else because no one is going there, might aswell gamble on a former all-star that is just recovering from an injury. Their window is over, they just want to make the playoffs and develop the younger players they acquire from the trade.

IT WASNT 2 YRS...

IT WAS ONE SUMMER BEFORE BRON.

THEY USED KCP TO SIGN A 1 YR DEAL
SO LAL WOULDNT HAVE ANY CAP SPACE TIED UP
ON A MUTI YR DEAL THE FOLLOWING SUMMER...

THEN TURNED AROUND AND DID IT AGAIN THIS YR.

ALSO TRADED NANCE AND CLARKSON
TO HIS OWN TEAM
SO HE COULD FREE UP MORE SPACE IN THE SUMMER.

YOU STANS HAVE NO FORESIGHT.

One of the grimiest most skullduggeriest moves I ever seen :merchant:
Dude really stripped his own team bare before jetting off into the sunset...Ainge level shyt :wow:

1. Incorrect....The pistons offered him the contact extension in 2016 before October as that is the deadline to extend the contracts for impending restricted free agents coming off their rookie contracts..... Once his team (agency) rejected that deal the pistons extended the qualifying offer in the summer of 2017 then decided to recind it and release him after they decided to trade for Bradley as KCP was looking for a max deal
Are the Detroit Pistons right? Or will Kentavious Caldwell-Pope win his bet?

How we got here
Before the season, Caldwell-Pope was offered a four-year, $80 million deal, according to a person with firsthand knowledge of the Pistons front office.

The person requested anonymity because of the sensitive nature of contract negotiations.

But the team was told that Caldwell-Pope wanted to test free agency and let the Oct. 31 deadline pass, a common negotiating tactic of Klutch Sports, Paul’s agency.

2.That isn't even the main point who cares about the time line really .. The MAIN point is why the fukk would Lebron James instruct his agent to prioritize getting Kentavious Caldwell fukkin Pope to the Lakers period :heh:

Why the fukk would you "need" KCP to take a one year deal to free up future cap space when you (the Lakers) could just not sign anyone and carry over that space in the first place.... How did or why would telling KCP to reject that extension offer in 2016 serve as a benifit to LeBron James :dead:
Yeah brehs on here got the timeline a bit fukked up with the KCP situation.

Rich Paul fukked KCP's contract up bad. There was no Bron involvement with that, that was Rich off doing his own thing.

Come the summer of 2017, the market was lookin rough as fukk for KCP because of all those summer '16 signings after the cap spike - nobody had room to give him anything close to what Detroit had originally offered him.

Rich and Bron had already been planning the move to LA by this time. Rich also had a huge problem on his hands - he just cost one of his clients $80 million fully guaranteed.

Magic came through with that $20 million overpay to KCP as a "wink wink" to Rich Paul / Bron - he'd help them shore up Klutch's reputation as a show of good faith, and to ensure Bron came through the following year.

Just regular business shyt - I scratch your back, you scratch mine :dame:

Hope Pelicans don't accept that deal cause Magic is dumb as fuk. In no way is this a good trade. Sign AD and "hope" we get another max player next season? What if we don't?

You keep at least one of the young core for backup just incase shyt goes south.
I hope they wait too. I think the young core and picks from Boston will work better than what magic is offering. I know magic knows what he's doing. He has to have a star in his pocket he knows is gonna come to LA next year. I have zero faith in dell demps so I know he will take the worst deal offered

I just don't see how Boston can make a better offer than what Magic proposed. If it's this summer, Boston would have to offer something like Tatum, Brown and Smart plus those protected picks. They definitely aren't taking Hill or another bad contract back.
I think the core of tatum rozier or brown and horford plus 19 1st (originally sac) '20 1st (top 5 protected from memphis) is better than anything magic can offer. Lonzo dont wanna be here. rondo got bad blood bc they didnt try to resign. Lance got cut from the pels last year so he prob dont want to stay. Ingram is overrated. kuz is the only bright spot. The lakers draft pics wont be good bc theyll probably make the playoffs so it'll be a mid round at best.

Hopefully Boston thinks they can convince him to stay like okc dis with Paul George. Boston would still have kyrie AD Hayward smart and morris. That's a damn good team in the east

lol, time for Lakers to bow out..we tried but no one should pay for this/

Yes, keep the picks coming, now this offer is actually a tad bit interesting, maybe we'll even let you keep Big baller Lonzo outta the kindness of our hearts in exchange for Zupac and another first... :troll::mjlit:

Magic better called that nikka Demps and say go fukk yourself

Get a free agent in the off-season and make another deal for a shooter

AD isn’t Kobe or shaq
If you knew how bad magic wanted AD and you know you will get better offers in the off season AND you have magic by the balls right now wouldn't you have a high asking price in the beginning? Pels have leverage over the Lakers for a short time. Why not swing for the fences?
