Because regardless where you trade him. He will be in LA in 2020

WHY DO YOU nikkaS KEEP SAYING THIS?

LAKERS WONT HAVE THE CAP SPACE TO SIGN HIM IN 2020
THATS WHY THEY HAVE TO GET THIS TRADE DONE NOW.

SOME TEAM, ESPECIALLY THE BULLS
SHOULD CALL ADs BLUFF.

That’s not even better than what the Lakers are offering. :dwillhuh:
I’d gladly take that over what the Lakers offered.

Having 4 first round picks in the next draft is a lot of ammo to potentially move up in the top 3. Atleast that gives the fans some reason to still support the team and hope for the future

PG ended up in a great situation though. Not to mention the Lakers focus completely shifted to Bron and later to Kawhi. So it’s not as if the Lakers also didn’t have something to do with PG picking OKC. So if/when Kawhi and Kyrie leave their teams what will the next talking point be on this matter?

Lakers thought PG was signing with them this summer along with Bron

What are you talking about?

Why petty though? Pels don't have to trade him there. What if they get a better offer from the Raptors, Boston, Spurs, Philly or Portland. I get the fact that this shot has gotten old already but make the best decision for the team. Because regardless where you trade him. He will be in LA in 2020
That sounds like Paul george

They said the same thing about PG

You really comparing trading a mediocre at the time Oladipo and Sabonis to Tatum, Brown, Rozier, Hayward, 4 first round draft picks with some being in the lottery, with the back drop of Kyrie leaving?

That was a low risk gamble from OKC compared to this.

City of Angels :blessed:

NO CAP SPACE CANT BE MADE
FOR A 3RD MAX
WITHOUT TRADING BRON OR THE 2ND MAX PLAYER
THEYRE GONNA SIGN THIS SUMMER.

I'd have to crunch all the numbers but the only guaranteed contract they have for 2020 is Bron. If they decline all the team options on young guys, they can sign Kyrie for the max in the summer and then AD in 2020 if the cap is $118M in 2020.

THE LAKERS ARE GOING ALL IN THIS SUMMER.

YOU THINK BRON IS 25?

THEYRE NOT ABOUT TO WASTE POSSIBLY THE LAST YEAR OF HIS PRIME
PLAYING THE WAITING GAME...

THATS WHAT THIS THROW AWAY SEASON WAS
WITH ALL THE ONE YR CONTRACTS.

I'm not denying that, just telling you it is possible to sign AD in 2020 if they wanted to.
