Lamar INT didn’t hurt the squad

His fumble did result in 7

But once again the ravens not running heavy in the first half was a dumb move

Then the drops hurt

Yeah lamar is partially to blame but don’t let others off the hook especially the head coach that never get heat from the media like tomlin with less on offense

Ok nikka eye test.
He led an 85 yard TD drive in Buffalo without his two best WRs. And his teammate dropped the game typing 2 point conversion.

True.

The thing is I feel like the last two years he just needed a teammate to pull him over the finish the line. Andrews not fumble, Zay not fumble, etc. Nikka say fukk off with stats but stats are what they use to knock his playoff resume

Cause really he's being judged for just how bad his stats were his 1st 3 years in the playoffs.

Pretty amazing how legacies can change with just a few caught passes and touchdowns

This is how thin the line is between being branded a perennial loser for life and a winner in sports

Peyton Manning was getting his ass kicked for the third straight playoff series by the New England Patriots In the 2006 AFC championship.

At halftime that game was 21 to 3 and he just did a interception pick six right before halftime.

He loses that game at home his legacy is never the same. And he was very close to getting blown out. He managed to catch a few breaks in the second half as well when Reggie Wayne almost fumbled the ball and New England dropped several open passes.

Whatever Wheaties he ate at halftime he managed to pull off the miracle of his life and slay the dragon.

He goes on to win two Super Bowls and he's forever on Mount Rushmore.

That's how thin the line is between being branded a winner and unfortunately what Lamar has hanging over his head.

The problem is he just played good. He redeemed in a good second half but those two bad decisions that he made in the first half really stood out.

I think the criticism is real and deserved but at the same time he didn't embarrass himself overall but the job wasn't done.

The coaching staff did him no favors either when they didn't put the ball in Derrick Henry's hands enough. And those drops too

Lamar stans were gaslighting us for a month just for him to perform like this

:mjlol:

He wasn't terrible or anything but it's year 7 for him and he has yet to put in a great performance in a playoff game

Even early career Peyton had a couple great ones (03 chiefs, 03 broncos)

💯 eye test tells you this was one of his best playoff games. He was good in this game, legitimately good...

But he needed to be GREAT, and he wasnt. His two turnovers cost his team big time, and he picked the wrong time to have his worst game of the year...

His passer rating was like 28 points higher than Allen's yesterday. The best plays between the two, were Lamar plays, its crazy how he was simultaneously the best player on the field, and made the two worst plays of the game...

If Lamar doesn't turn the ball over, they are never in position for Andrews to fumble, or to chase 2 points. His turnovers cost the team...

But the growth is there, eye test proves it. He shook off those turnovers and led the Ravens back, that TD to Likely was beautiful, that whole second half he was in control...

The stats are what he was judged on prior, but they can't really do that anymore. Honestly can't feel too sorry for him either, he knows this. He's got a bad habit of saving his worst games of the season for the playoffs, and until that ends, he's gonna be judged accordingly...

I'm rooting for fam and I do think he breaks thru eventually!
Poor 👑

Should've just direct snapped to him rest of the game. Prolly would've yielded better results.
Henry dropping that wide open pass in the first half is one of many mistakes. He's one of my favorite players ever but it's why I can't put him over Faulk yet---->and obviously Faulk is my favorite offensive player ever (#2 for me overall after Charles Woodson)...

But Faulk doesn't drop that pass!

That said, not going to Henry on either 2pt conversion is one of the coaching errors Harbaugh should have to answer for. He killed Buffalo in the second half...

He's Manning reincarnated in an athletic black man with swag. But Manning is also why I'm optimistic Lamar breaks thru at some point. He had the same clouds over his head...

Lamar will get his at some point. Crazy thing is as much as he's continued to improve, he still has room to grow. When he eliminates the backbreaking playoff moments, it'll push the Ravens all the way...
Peyton had a lot of playoff exits that resemble the bad luck that follows Lamar too :francis: . Bad drops, a defense not getting takeaways or stops at all, bad game plans.

This is a fact. Man the margin between winning and losing can be razor thin, you're absolutely right. These kinds of things happen every single year...

I don't get this. It took away a chance to score. Ravens didn't punt all game and only got stopped because of turnovers. They lost by 2 points. If they don't have any turnovers they win probably by multiple scores.
