White people love Trump too much :yeshrug: I'm not sure any Dem could've won in 2024

If it wasn't for COVID Biden probably wouldn't have even won.
if we're being honest, the 2020/2024 elections were kind of a wash

biden/harris got fukked out of winning in 2024, because of covid inflation. but that same covid probably fukked trump out of winning in 2020

2026 and 2028 are just a clean slate at this point. and democrats can win with the right messaging and candidates. trump/musk/vance is a clown show

Issue for Dems is that they want to be the party "for the people"....but accept so much billionaire money that they're compromised.

They need more AOC, Crockett etc., firebrands, male and female. People that are attack dogs who can stay on message.

Dems also need a populist message but with progressive policy. Most Americans prefer left/liberal ideas IF they don't know which side those ideas come from. Like everyone loves ACA....but 50% hate Obamacare; not realizing it's the same damn thing.

Most of all, Democrats need a message that is soooo strong, that it can carry a candidate to victory. Think about every Democratic president going back to 1960.

JFK - sharp/charisma
LBJ - self made/sharp
Carter - self made/sharp
Clinton - self made/sharp/charisma
Obama - self made/sharp/charisma
Biden - self made/sharp

Now compare these guys to Bush 43, Evil Marmalade etc.....

Dems have won over the last 60 years with brilliant people. The GOP's playbook works with genius level politicians (Bush 41) and idiots (Trump). Dems are too reliant on singularly gifted people and need a message that can pull people to victory.

I would actually go the other way and eschew the big money donors.

The Democrats need to go back to the basics and reengage with people where they are at and not in such an aspirational worldview. Get back to focusing on the average person.

I think the Democrats need to purge 'the money' from the party. That's in part what they need to do to re energize voters.

Arent the big money donors the problem.

The problem is that the Dems are between a rock and a hard place.

They talk left wing economic policies, those donors would dry up even more.

Talk about status quo, donation money is good but popular support suffers.

Right now, democrats are just waiting for republicans to fukk up something that makes most people mad.
Despite all the media coverage, the current administration hasn’t done anything to piss off that many people.

Everyone is like :yeshrug: so far.

Some of us are mad at the federal jobs being taken away but most of us can’t even imagine having a job that good, so it means nothing that those jobs are gone.
We don’t care that much about how the next man is doing.
Rep representatives are getting killed in town halls by old white people , trump approval ratings have fallen by record amounts in the short amount of time hes been in iirc .

people are waking up but we need more .

As far as dems.
All but aoc , jasmine crockett have disgusted me.
Bernies an indy so hes not a dem iirc
Nancys lame ass has got to go.

The fact they didnt let aoc be party leader was a joke.

Lot of us are pissed at dems .especially schumer and jeffries

Acting like no one is slandering them is just a lie

The problem is that the Dems are between a rock and a hard place.
it's also an internal struggle

moderate democrats don't want to be more like progressives :yeshrug: the weird fakkitry, the crying about illegals getting deported, the green new deal nonsense; 80% of the country is not going for that. JD Vance beats AOC in the 2028 election, 100% of the time. that's the reality we live in

meanwhile, progressives are pissed because they can't get their way about everything, and they're not willing to moderate to a point where serious people are going to vote for them :dead:

It's a dilemma, isn't it? Or at least it seems that way. You're absolutely right that big donors are a huge part of the problem. Ideally, they could offset their reliance on big money by building a strong, grassroots-funded movement. Bernie showed that it's possible. But they would have to be willing to stop playing it safe and watering down their messaging to please the donors, because that only ends up losing enthusiasm and credibility with their own base. You can't serve two masters. And if they insist on chasing big donors, the least they could do is have a clear message and a solid plan. But they'd be better off moving toward grassroots support instead.
