having a perspective on automation and thus UBI doesn't make you presidential material. dude is loving the elevated platform and attention. he leans into the celebrity of #yanggang a little too hard, just seems like an attention-seeking tech bro.

I actually laughed out loud at this.

This is nonsensical arugmemt, what makes someone presidential.

What are the skills that one must pre-qualify before setting into a presidential race?

It's rather simple, a problem is seen and solutions are presented.

Wow, Krugman is still around.

I thought he got buried and pushed to the back for getting ever major economic decision he made horrendously wrong.

They need to start putting economists past economic performance of their portfolios beside their names so people can see if their ideas are worth a damn. This guy even got globalization wrong!

As well he is wrong again if one has capital. Capital finds the most elegant returns. So I would invest capital into something that yields more return per dollar invested aka not workers but rather machines and automation. Hence why productivity output has risen when employment has dropped stagnated.

Krugman is always worth a laugh.:russ:

I’m happy that you feel anyone with an idea is worthy of being president.

Ideas change the world!

Still didn't answer my question.

What makes someone presidential material?

I still feel that the president should have public service/government experience, like someone else said, trump should not be the norm moving forward

Secondly a grasp of multiple key issues presidents will need to have policies or positions for - jobs, taxes, foreign policy, social services, military, diplomacy, education, civil rights issues, criminal justice.

Yang has yet to branch out to many of these key areas, no strong proposals or views and of course he has no government experience - he’s just a much a self centered candidate running on privilege as I felt Beto and Buttigege are
