What does he think about America’s Empire?

Better manager of empire
Foreign Policy First Principles - Andrew Yang for President
As President, I will…
  • Work with our allies to rebuild our stature in the world, and strengthen alliances such as NATO
  • Reinvest in diplomacy and bolster funding to the State Department
  • Work with allies to project our combined strength throughout the world, without engaging in activities that will cost American lives and money with no clear benefit to our long-term well-being
  • Sign a repeal to the AUMF, returning the authority to declare war to Congress, and refuse to engage in anything other than emergency military activity without the express consent of Congress
  • Regularly audit the Department of Defense
  • Focus our federal budget on fixing problems at home instead of spending trillions of dollars abroad

Might have to step off this train. :whoa:

What's confusing about the critique is that you could level this degree of cynicism at any democrat presidential candidate, any senate or house democratic candidate too. Especially all the ones who get elected by...us.

Yang's sin (other than his unfortunate ***** fan base) is that unlike most candidates, he had the temerity to put policy proposals up on his website while others just hang back with vagaries or nothing at all for the vast majority of the campaign. Beto, Harris, even Bernie a good deal of the time - it's talk for the most part. Elizabeth Warren is the only candidate who you know can walk the walk on policy and isn't afraid to get into the nitty gritty details.

The real problem with Yang is that our democratic establishment hates him because he isn't them (they hazed and crushed Bernie, the outsider, in 2015 and 2016), and Bernie supporters dislike him for potentially stealing some of Bernie's online energy and thunder this go around. So he is getting squeezed from both sides right now. I see it all over social media and reddit.

Meanwhile democrats and republicans plunder the country and in the off chance Bernie becomes President republicans gain the senate and house by screaming that he is a communist, the wealthy elites bankroll anyone who will poison anything Bernie talks about, and everyone will be screaming that his policy proposals don't make mathematical or practical sense.

This leaves us with, imo, two choices for president:
  1. An opposite Donald Trump - Andrew Yang - who forces Democrats into political uncertainty in the House and Senate, or
  2. Elizabeth Warren, hated by republicans and a person who has made a few political mistakes but who understands Washington and Congress very thoroughly and will effectively fight for progressive change.

I read that critique and while the guy makes some valid points, the government as it stands now is broken and his ideas are no worse than any past President. Perhaps he needs to sharpen his message as debates loom by but at least he putting out pretty thorough policy which most of these newer cats and even the establishment dont do outside Elizabeth Warren and Bernie to a lesser extent.

If Yang ain’t ready then neither is Beto or the gay mayor from Iowa. It’s easier to shyt on yang bc he isn’t a p*ssy and lists his policies on his page. No one else is doing that so you can’t shyt on them.

Bernie is done. If he’s on the 2020 ticket, Trump is winning again. Losers from precious elections don’t win again.

Based on what?
Bernie beats Trump in the Midwest in poll after poll the last 3 years

Trump barely beat Hillary and she didn’t devote the time and attention that she should have.

Trump has the narrow path to victory not the Dem nominee.

Trump is a bad President and is the most unpopular incumbent since Carter

Recent polls show Bernie’s appeal as president has dropped among Democrats. Bernie bros are just mad that Yang is taking his followers and building a cult following, something Bernie did last time. He’s done, he ain’t gonna be president in 2020, he’s a loser.

Bernie has 75% favorability amongst Dem voters in Morning Consult poll today. Just a couple points behind Biden.

If he’s the nominee he’s kicking Trump’s ass in the Midwest. I wouldn’t bet on him being the nominee. It’s provably gonna be Harris or Biden IMO.
