Can you provide any context behind his defensive rating or are you just going to selectively leave that out on the account that you don't watch games and it's much easier just to pick and choose what numbers to go by?

The numbers speak for themselves.

The problem with this is they don't. You can't simply measure a player's defensive worth by his defensive rating. If you'd understand how that metric works you wouldn't be saying this nonsense. Wiggins is already one of the best on-ball wing defenders in the league.

Here, let me help you understand something...

The reason I can do what I do is because I'm simply a better poster than someone like your yourself. I'm smarter. More entertaining. And I never take days off from smacking around lame nikkas like yourself.

I mean really, who respects posters who continuously cry for another man to do their work? If you don't like what I say, debate me and prove me wrong, you bish ass nikka.

I do this for the real nikkas out here. Salute!

Carmelo would shoot 40% against a pine cone. What's your point? Has Carmelo ever been efficient? Who cares about o boards. It means he's rebounding his bricks. You want your 2 guard to grab boards. You know Wiggins is disappointing when o boards is brought up as a point of emphasis and d boards is ignored. :heh: 4.6 boards in 36 mins at 6'7 is awful no matter how you slice it.

offensive boards means more possessions. he doesn't just get his own misses, he actively runs in to try grab misses while on offense. on defense he actively leaks out on the first break. lets not act like offensive boards are somehow meaningless in basketball breh.

4.6 per 36 is awful for a 6'6" guy, yet kobe is 6'6" and gets 5.3.

playmaking is more of a concern than getting defensive boards and he needs to get a better handle to become a better playmaker. that's an obvious weakness.

Is that why players shoot better against Wiggins from the field than they do Jordan Clarkson? :jbhmm:

Kobe's 37 & coming off of multiple injuries...Wiggins is barely old enough to legally drink. His rebounding numbers are disgusting for someone his height and age currently.

Kobe averaged 6.3 rebounds per game at Wiggins age.

This is the problem when dudes reference rebounds without the proper context. Same type of reasoning dudes use against Marc Gasol for not being a great defender because of his lack of rebounds.

i was using kobe's career average, not his average from this year.

at 20 year's old, per 36, kobe averaged 5.2 boards.

again boards is one of the more laughable things to complain about. y'all are acting like his lack of boards is hurting the team when they're a top 10 rebounding team. the playmaking is what hurts.

Im not saying he's hurting the team, I'm just going and correcting the numbers you used....and Wiggins rebounding numbers are weak currently.:manny:

Wiggins also turns 21 this season....the year Kobe turned 21, he averaged 6.3 rebounds while Wiggins is getting only 3.6 rebounds at the same point.

That's all I'm saying.

Opposing players shoot 40.7% FG against Jordan Clarkson NBA.com/Stats

Opposing players shoot 42.2% FG against Andrew Wiggins NBA.com/Stats

:mjpls:

So tell me again about how elite Wiggins is already defensively:jbhmm:

this is why number statistics are hard to take seriously.

jordan clarkson is one of the worst guard defenders in the league. in fact he might actually be the worst. players routinely drive by him and get easy shots off screens because he doesn't go through them to contest. he's awful in pretty much every way defensively yet the numbers tell me players shoot 40.7% against him. that's not right. im not sure if they're not including the shots teams get by driving straight passed him and getting to the rim(which might go against another player's defense) or if it's just getting attributed to someone else, but players are roasting clarkson on deense this year.

so because kobe turned 21 in august instead of February you're going to use his 4th year numbers instead of his third year numbers. :what:
