I dunno why anyone would expect a rap album from Andre at this point. He didn't give us a solo rap album twenty years ago, why would he suddenly now? Some dreams you gotta let go or you're just gonna torture yourself. It's like still wanting a followup to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Not gonna happen.

Also maybe stop taking the vets who still give us great rap albums for granted

Dude never does interviews but did an hour with NPR breaking down who he’s been working with on the album and how those collaborations came about. The album is co-produced by Carlos Nino and features work from Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, Deantoni Parks, Diego Gaeta, Matthewdavid, V.C.R, Diego Gaeta, Jesse Peterson, and Mia Doi Todd.

Interesting. The initial thing I saw just listed Matthewdavid who is basically a DJ/producer and does electronic music.

Everyone knows a rap album wasn’t coming.
A lot of people love instrumental music and maybe this will be great.
If not it can just join the hundreds of other albums that come out every week that get paid no mind….
