I’ll be going to the show next Thursday

My homegirl (Who I use as a cum rag from time to time) went to his show when he was here in Houston a couple of months ago.

She was saying that everybody was waiting for him to spit some bars.

She also says at one point he started talking some random pig Latin shyt and then told the crowd that it wasn't even a real language and it was some shyt he has just made up right there on the spot.

Just like any other brotha from the south, I hold Stacks in high regard but he just fukkin with people at this point.

He was mostly mad that Andre wouldn’t tour when Speakerboxx/The Love Below was tearing the charts up. He said that missed out on a STUPID amount of money.


I don’t think Big was mad that Andre essentially retired as a rapper because they were going to break up anyway after Stankonia. They went to LA Reid and told him they weren’t recording as a group anymore. Andre got cold feet and requested that his solo album be packaged with Big’s as a group album and Big agreed because he knew the Outkast brand was stronger than them as solo artists. But I think Big expected that if the albums were packaged together then Dre would tour. Dre wanted to go off into acting though.

He won’t win but congratulations to him! Sometimes you have to do what you feel and it’ll work out.

He got three other nominations in instrumental categories. He’ll win something come grammy night.

But folk keep saying Big better than Dre. Why Big concerts ain’t packed like the OutKast
days? This dude is still making music out here. They’ll put him on shyt like the Super Bowl halftime show and he’s one of the ones that get a couple seconds to perform the way you move.. if it was him and Dre they’ll be headlining. People be lying trying to overvalue Big to shyt on Dre.

Andre was also on Kamasi's latest album. That track was the best on the whole album.


I love Shabaka, but I think his work with Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming is far superior to his recent flute work.

Also, lol at "far superior music in this space". For me personally, Andre3000's album was by far the freshest out of the 3 mentioned above.

Nah i think Shabaka'a album is a lot more accomplished. Andre's shyt is too noodly and structureless. It's fine.

I only listened to Kamasi's album a couple of times. Couldn't really get into it. Need to listen to it again.

Quite enjoyed the recent Jeff Parker album too.
