Andre 3000 GQ Video Interview: “sometimes it feels inauthentic for me to rap because I don’t have anything to talk about in that way.”

The average adult who is overworked and has a 9-5 will usually turn their interests towards music that "keeps the pace" of their day going...Before lyrics...

Andre knows nikkas are gonna clown him because the album he will make has a very LIMITED listening window...

Before work-turn up music

At work-turn up music

Going home- turn up

Gym-turn up

Home-kids/family/sleep/TV etc

nikkas go all types of crazy when he drops his 16s once every 2 years, but they really not trying to hear that vibe for a whole album

This site phony as hell..nikkas talking about Nas and there being a lane for old man mature raps when Nas is selling 10K copies and going quadruple linoleum.

Same site that clamors for Drake albums when that man has been rapping from the perspective of an emotionally stunted 25 year old for a decade .

That last little brother album was chocked full of grown man raps and it was QUIET out here .

Unlike what nikkas fake claim there isn’t a lane for bad eyesight/colonoscopy raps..Stop the cap and keep it 100.

Rap is one dimensional as hell

This doesn’t make sense

He’s been rapping on & off even up until very recently so he definitely has something to say

unlike Phonte (unfortunately), 3K has always had a cool factor and aesthetic to where people will listen.

Isn’t this what Nas is doing with his KD series also? His reasoning makes no sense

A select few can maintain a youthful vibe, such as Nas and Mike Epps (on the acting/comedy side of the game)

Bmore stand up!
The only real one in that group is Face and that's because that nikka is struggling to this day. It's fukk the camel forever, ain't nothing he saying relatable, who the fukk is he even talking to. Nas has always had a foot in and another foot trying to get out, he can still talk that street shyt in a story to educate........old nikkas rapping has to be stopped.........
Lol I can dig it. I honestly don’t think face is broke, he’s always been a self proclaimed cheap skate so I feel like he saved a lot of bread over the years… and yeah Jay has seen better days musically lol but I know he still has a love for it. Nas is Nas, I think we’ve seen from the last few albums he ain’t losing his vigor no time soon….Andre just sounds uninspired and super 1 dimensional here. I don’t think there anything wrong with 40-50 year olds rapping. In fact, I feel like their artistry and wisdom could probably help a lot of people out now a days, that mature commentary is needed IMO… If Andre can’t make a good solo album in 2023 then he just needs to accept that…. but don’t make lame excuses like your “age”

"Shut up & dribble"

I remember seeing women on that app say they want to hear gunshots and opps and ignorant shyt

Then they go right back to being communist/socialist/Hookteps lmaooooo

nikkas embracing ignorance and shyt with lack of depth is weird to me. Maybe if nikkas liked philosophy we’d fare better in this world. bytch in the thread said everyone is trying to be the same by trying to be philosophical. Man if that was the case we would have less Lil Crashouts out here

i honestly don't see the issue

more rappers should have quit while they were ahead like he did instead of rapping into their :flabbynsick: days, but i understand why a lot of them can't since they didn't have the commercial success that has basically allowed him to do whatever he wants for the last 20 years.

love him and rank him top 3

I respect his context but as he says ... its out of touch... which is okay

whats dangerous, he does have a responsibility... like all greats to inspire people
im not gonna lie, this is anti inspirational

I get that interviewers and dumb ass fans ruin shyt and ask him
and its his personal belief and view

but the answer isnt really inspiring to younger artists to say
you never see a old boxer say "dont fight and dont get punched in the head"
they say "fight for what you love and believe in"

the reason people love and rank artists or entertainers high... is for their inspiration
saying "rapping about the same shyt is stale" is cool if you label that as (just for you)
unless like his verse states "If you dont show them new ways to win" you preface your statement with getting kids into other forms of music or promote jazz etc

then again younger generation doesnt care or even know Andre like that
