The drug war and militarized police forces that put Black men and women into prisons, bolstered by white conservative voters; cut down on the options available to African-Americans affected.

The cutting of public education and funding to public universities/HBCUs made higher education a far more costly and difficult to acquire tool for African-Americans.

The permanent creation of an underclass and the exploitation of low skilled workers, places African-Americans in a position where another underclass fits in the same area.

When automation takes our jobs, hopefully we will have been strong enough to fight for a social safety net, something that wont happen as long as you have millions of scab laborers around.

The endgame is to hold corporations accountable with hiring undocumented immigrants since they are the actual decision makers rather than having black ppl miserable and upset about another group of ppl who hold zero economic influence and/or power, and help blacks focus on other resources and solutions for economic mobility.

When automation takes our jobs, hopefully we will have been strong enough to fight for a social safety net, something that wont happen as long as you have millions of scab laborers around.

A safety net may be an option but why would you be more willing to fight against immigrants working these jobs but not have that same energy against the robots/technology doing these jobs?
