Millennial and Gen X parents are doing an absolutely horrendous job and they don't want to take accountability for it at all, just like their parents didn't want to take accountability for them and their academic failings. The decline in American academics over the past few decades has everything to do with the parents.

No...the failing of American academia especially public school has everything to do with Republicans' constant attack on it. They've been actively defunding public schools in hope to make charter schools happen.

In NY, there are so many different sites and programs to become a teacher, but it gets confusing so I just put it off to a later date. They also have like 15 different pathways and certs you can/will get but that is confusing too.

Nah. Kids need to know their parents full government name and address. It's a safety matter. I remember getting separated from my dad at a water park when I was like 8. Knowing my dad's name made it easier for the park staff. They could use his name on the PA.

if you think about they have to enter that info once intermittently whenever they try an app and a lot of data is prefilled when you login or use auto-form in the browser. not entire impossible.

So if something happens to your kids and they are asked what your name is so you can be contacted, your kids don't know the name to tell them?
