I wish the supreme court...I mean I dont know

Sometimes I wish it was 4-4 with a wildcard or swing chief

Sometimes I wish it was 9-0 lib

Sometimes I think I wouldnt mind it being a bit to the right if the dems controlled the executive and legislative branches ad infinitum

Sometimes I wish it was 9 moderate wild cards

In my heart of hearts I wish the supreme court was the fairest court of them all. What I mean by that is this..there is diversified opinion that is just and representative of fair and righteous opinions on the law. Some judgements can go to the right, more to the left. Whatever. I dont think one side is correct on every issue so I am not really a fan of hard liners in any direction for the supreme court.

If I was president it would be a very tricky process for me to nominate.

It would be nice if the parties had some sort of unofficial agreement in nominations. For instance if it's a balanced court and a R president is in office with a liberal judge leaving the court..nominate a moderate. Same for the opposite. That's why I thought the Garland nomination was more than fair of Obama

Trump: Gorsuch, Kavanaugh

Which one did it worst?

Souter was a fail for HW. He drifted left. More than made up for it with Thomas though

nixon with rehnquist, powell and burger was pretty bad even though blackmun drifted left

hw bush might have had the biggest shift right though cause two of the most liberal justices got replaced with one of the most conservative ones and one less liberal than either of them

I know the alliance for justice probably isnt the most unbiased source of evaluations of these judges but goddamn the potential nominee shortlist is trash. These women are lunatics. I'm pretty confident in saying any of them (including Bade and others not listed in the poll) will be far worse than gorsuch and kavanaugh

The most dirtbag Trump supporters don't even like his picks. They were hoping to get 2 Clarence Thomases but both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh have voted with the liberals of the court pretty often. If I'm not mistaken, both voted to grant legal protection to transgenders which they were mad about.

Gorsuch and Kavanaugh haven't been the doomsday scenario it was painted to be. Clarence Thomas is still the most conservative vote of the bunch.
