I have no reason to have any ill feelings towards Beyoncé. I don’t give a fukk about the bytch to be honest. I just know she’s shady as hell and her track record proves it, along with the plethora of copyright infringement lawsuits she has. The bytch is not original. She’s literally a copy and paste.

And like dude said, there is documented proof of Ameriie being blackballed/sabotaged behind this Columbia/Rich shyt.

Breh, you have I'll feelings. I mean you're in here calling Beyonce out of her name all while saying no I'll feelings.

Amerie's career was not sabotaged. She was never huge even before Beyonce's solo career took off. Amerie was barely a gold artist and you Ashanti out here doing that in one week. Alicia was huge. India.Arie. Truth Hurts and Tweet had bigger records than Amerie.

I'll be one of like the 2 people actually talking about the albums.

I actually prefer 4am, but like someone else said earlier.... I hate the effects she's using on her voice. But it still gets a spin from me since I like the production on the album. I'm one of the 5 people that actually likes Tinashe on this site and 4am reminds me of her earlier projects not named 'Black Water'.

Beyoncé is really irrelevant to me. I truly don’t give a fukk about her. She’s never on my radar. She’s the epitome of a non motha fukkin factor. I couldn’t care less.

But that doesn’t change the fact that she bit the entire hell out of Ameriie’s style and that IS a fact. But then again, she bites and steals from so many people and that’s why she’s constantly getting sued for it.

Working with the same producer =/= biting someone's style. Beyonce and Amerie sound nothing alike. Two different styles of music.

If we really want to talk about Beyonce biting an artist, a greater case could be made for both Beyonce and Rihanna biting Kelis. That's another thread though.

4AM sounded a little better to me the second time around. I haven’t ran Mulholland back a second time yet. I think the former is more urban sounding than the latter hence why it seems like most like it better. I played it in my car today and her vocals still sound very hollow to me. The mixing could’ve been better.

But you mention Bey in every other thread about every other female artist. So I don’t believe the first part of your post.

Beyonce is a phony and once upon a time, she sold her friends out to keep her career going. Replaced them and they were forced to find out on a MTV video debut. Honorable.

Ameriie getting sabotaged

Very good watch and very informative.

:sas2:

This doesn't say she was sabotaged. What it does speak of is that she didn't get the support from the major labels she was signed to (pretty much they didn't get behind her because they didn't see her vision). That is typical of the industry. To put it into perspective, the same label that didn't support Amerie also flat out told Beyonce that she didn't have any hits when Beyonce played them Dangerously In Love. They didn't believe in her either:

Beyoncé has revealed that she had trouble convincing her label to release her first album.

The star recorded her hugely-successful debut solo LP Dangerously In Love in 2003 after departing from Destiny's Child. However, the singer has claimed that it almost remained unreleased, Contactmusic reports.

She said: "In 2003. I had my first solo album. But when I played it through for my record label, they told me I didn't have one hit on my album.

"I guess they were kinda right, I had five. 'Dangerously In Love', 'Naughty Girl', 'Me, Myself and I', 'Baby Boy' and 'Crazy In Love'."

The following article was also written too. They didn’t think Bey would be the success that she is today and even said that she was no Ashanti.

MUSIC; The Solo Beyoncé: She's No Ashanti

People not even believing in Beyoncé at the start of her career further shows the craziness of the narrative that Bey sabotaged Amerie’s career.

She’s a snake ass bytch. Like dude said, she’s part of the reason the female r&b scene is so ridiculously dry. There is no telling how many artists she fukked over.

Justice for Keri.

Justice for Ameriie.

It is of no fault of Beyoncé's as to why the female scene is what it is. I mean, R&B as a whole took a huge hit post 2006. There aren't really any males that are exactly killing it in the R&B world either.

Keri Hilson got in her own way. She was a part of the most powerful machine in music. Even had Timbaland & Danja and Polow producing her records. She had Wayne on her records. A single with Kanye and Ne-Yo and didn't blow. Why? She gave her biggest records to other artists. "The Way I Are" was on Timbaland's album. "Gimme More" went to Britney Spears. When it came time to drop her own records, she releases "Energy" and "Return The Favor" and neither of them exactly screamed knockout hit. Then came "Turnin' Me On" feat. Wayne, which was pretty big. Then she started dissing Ciara out of nowhere and recorded a remix to "Turning Me On", which people assumed she dissed Beyonce. Then came her biggest record "Knocks Me Down", and she eventually went Gold. She released another album a year and a half later led by the Timbaland produced "Break Down", which was a minor hit at best. Then she was featured on T.I.'s "Got Your Back", which was kind of big. Then there was "Pretty Girl Rock", a mini movie for single "The Way You Love Me". Then the album dropped and did a little over 100K in the first week. Keri had more singles than most artists get and several of them failed to chart. Huge budgets and meager sales led to where Keri Hilson is at.

Again, Amerie was never huge to begin with. She had a lane and never came up with a follow up that matched or exceeded the success of her lead singles.

There were acts that were bigger than Beyonce that were still thriving long after Beyonce debuted.
