Working with the same producer =/= biting someone's style. Beyonce and Amerie sound nothing alike. Two different styles of music.

If we really want to talk about Beyonce biting an artist, a greater case could be made for both Beyonce and Rihanna biting Kelis. That's another thread though.

Rihanna? Kelis???

Don't see it. How?

Otherwise Beys music has always had its hip hop influences and shes been rap singing since DC...i.e. Kitty Cat, Upgrade You, In Da Club remix etc

Now Amerie on the other hand is trying to do her best Ri impersonation

I'd say it is more influence than biting. I don't want to further derail the thread, but Kelis came out with "Bossy" and similarly Beyonce came out with "Diva", which had the same sound and content. Then there's this:

In regard to Rihanna, there's "Cockiness" and "Cake" that sound like those songs. Yeah, it is the same producer (except "Cake" was produced by Da Internz).

Bossy came out in 2006

Diva came out in 2008

Cake and Cockiness was released in 2011

Bossy and Diva share similarities I'll give you that but other than that I really dont see how Kelis had this big influence on Beys music or styling...

Rnb singers share the same song writers and producers so accusations of "biting" are bound to come up

And Bey been shyt talking even before we knew who Kelis was

Now Ri's music and styling has been heavily influenced by Kelis...which once was a big criticism of Ri ...and Kelis even spoke on the comparisons between her and Ri

I have no reason to have any ill feelings towards Beyoncé. I don’t give a fukk about the bytch to be honest. I just know she’s shady as hell and her track record proves it, along with the plethora of copyright infringement lawsuits she has. The bytch is not original. She’s literally a copy and paste.

And like dude said, there is documented proof of Ameriie being blackballed/sabotaged behind this Columbia/Rich/Beyoncé shyt

Stop trying to falsely apply hip hop culture based mores and precepts. To sellout nikka central from jump rnb. Hip hop was cultivated so arthouses could not take from us.

We ate not rnb. This shot has nuffin to do with hip hop culture at all. shyt is rnb. They are the misappropriation theft kings in blues and rnb.

Stop.
This whole idea everyone is hip hop or apart of the culture needs to stop. Stop trying to make everyone hip hop or let everyone think they are down with hip hop culture like some nineties pr run, because they are not a part of hip hop.

Part of rap's problem is giving undue unjust power to some fukk'n rnb afficionado and their producers. They are rnb and not bboys. Stop giving that full force misplaced misappropriation shyt value. It took hella work to get these rnb and house ass culture thieves up outta here. Stop letting their culture thief ass back in the spot.

Get out of your feelings. If it doesn't matter who he produced first, you van't accuse Beyonce of stealing Amerie's sound.

That Just comparison doesn't stand. For starters, he produced for Harlem World as did Kanye and there were definitely issues between The Roc and Harlem World. Secondly, Amerie has denied any friction between her and Beyonce. They were never competition. That's stan wars that has created a narrative out of nothing.

Your whole post is based on nothing but opinions starting with the fact that you won't even acknowledge Rich is also from D.C., which gives him just as much right to the Go Go sound as Amerie (and more right given that he's the producer).
So her stealing her stage performance style is also just by chance too huh? Lol. nikka the bytch is a biter. To be fair she wasnt the only one. J Lo did as well. ALSO. Amerie's All I Have album >>>>>>>>> Beyonce discography after her first album.

Lol @ acting like Keri Hilson wasn’t blackballed, either. When this is documented AND she has spoken on this her damn self.

The delusion of these Beyhive nikkas, I swear.
U got The Dream on The Breakfast Club saying he will NEVER produce for Keyshia Cole again because she said something about Beyonce. These nikkas crazy man. Lol

This and Beyonce was a teenager in Destiny's Child when Kelis dropped Kaleidoscope.

all i'm saying is besides ring the alarm and diva (to a lesser extent) what has bey done over her 20 year plus career that screams kelis, kaleidoscope....which reminds me kelis isn't the first person to scream on record

there's always been hip hop influences in her music and bey helped write and shape d.c.'s sound...she's always been cocky/done self empowerment records...only got bolder with time

nothing really is new under the sun anyways. kelis came from the same school as a neneh cherry, Madonna, blondie, etc......whereas bey is more so a pop, rnb, hip hop hybrid like a mariah carey

Breh, all these artists share writers, producers, and choreographers. That isn't biting. R&B isn't Hip Hop where artists have an identity beyond the producer and/or writer and they don't really have choreographers to give them stage routines. And this is the reason why R&B fell off because at one point, they all were going to the same writers and producers, which led to a lot of it sounding the same.

And that is Dream being a stan. That isn't because Beyonce told him not to work with those artists. Honestly, I lost respect for him after that interview. And he didn't just single out an artist (Keyshia dissed Michelle not Beyonce). Dream said he wouldn't work with anyone who said anything bad about Beyonce. I get that he might've gotten his big break after writing and producing for her, but he helped her as much as she helped him. I found it unprofessional of him to say that especially when Ne-Yo, StarGate, and so many other writers and producers still work with artists all over ddespite what their relationship with Beyonce is.

It was actually Beyoncé she threw shade to after Bey dropped "Bow Down/I Been On" but carry on.

All I remember is Keyshia tweeting out "Beyonce get your girl" and pretty much clowning Michelle.

A lot of women were vocal about "I Been On/Bow Down" because it was contrary to the "empowerment" Beyonce had previously preached. It's no coincidence she added the "feminist" speech to the song and removed "I Been On" after the backlash.
