Yep that is what happened. I actually thought that was his brother. There was a bunch of brehs that looked exactly the same to me. I had no emotional attachment to any of the characters.

That's exactly how I felt. Even Chris Kyle had a really dull personality. Maybe that's the way that he presented himself in the book though idk. Either way dude was a 30 year old "cowboy" when he enlisted so he had to be somewhat grimey yet he's portrayed solely as this naïve good guy whose always felt obligated to protect people. The only moment that deviated from 100% Chris Kyle savior mode was when someone told him that the wife of a man he shot claimed that her husband was holding a quaran and not an ak-47 and Kyle never questioned for a second if he was right or wrong shooting that guy. They really didn't give Bradley Cooper much to work with so props to him for killing it. Should've explored Kyle's motivations more instead of just the good vs evil shyt Kyle liked to say which all I got out of that from Cooper's performance was that Kyle really did believe that but was just naïve.
