Watched the screener. Movie was meh at best. And I like how they glossed over BUDS like it was basic training. Being a sniper is boring as fukk.
The main point that people won't take from this is how young people go over there to "fight for freedom" but in the end, they don't know why the fukk they're over their and can't wait to leave. This nikka had a batman complex. and this is what the government wants. young dummies, who do what they're told, no questions asked until it drives them insane. Imagine if people that don't speak your language roam your block with guns and weapons, bust inside your crib and harass you and yours on a daily basis. Then you gotta deal with foreign militia groups terrorizing you as well. It will drive anyone to blindly kill. That's what this flag wearing/waving idiots don't get or comprehend.

There was a bunch of brehs that looked exactly the same to me. I had no emotional attachment to any of the characters.
I'm definitely curious what made this movie way more successful than Lone Survivor. The hype going into the movie seemed to be pretty similar among the typical middle america demographic that goes to these movies... Only things I can think of are awards buzz and the director name recognition of Clint Eastwood compared to Peter Berg.
Maybe a lot of these people caught Lone Survivor on DVD and promised themselves they'd check the next pro-America war movie out in theaters?
