Quality of life is subjective to be honest. It’s based off your personal lifestyle.

And I disagree that suburbs that are known for mostly fast food spots have “better” food than the city.

Lots of the overweight and unhealthy diets of Americans has a lot to do with suburb living. Fast foods everywhere and people literally using their steering wheel more than their feet.

I'm talking about supermarkets that has fresh produce. And fresh air.

But after a certain age, you kinda get annoyed With 24/7 noise. Especially as an introvert.

Places like Chester PA, and Newburgh NY are deathtraps.

Every couple of years I go to a Drum and Bugle Corps show in Talon Stadium in Chester PA. I have relatives in Philly and around the burbs there but I had never heard of Chester.
The first year we went there we asked the people about going out to eat since we got there early. They didn't know so we went out to find some food ........ damn!
My dude I was actually shocked at what I saw. Firstly the area around the newish stadium had had homes but all were gone or boarded up.
In the immediate area away in town, the area was torn up. You could tell there had been something there at one point but nothing remained but poverty with a few decent spots here and there. It was kind of sad.
We ended up driving back to the stadium and eating there.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.

Interesting. Never noticed the difference and I’ll agree with the fresh air.

Stayed at my cousins house in GA for a while and I couldn’t adapt.

If I had kids I think I’d prefer to move in the farther parts of the city itself where it’s a mix of suburbia and city life.

Rural poor is worse than city poor. If you live in the city you have close access to hospitals you can grind ask people for money. You have other people in your situation.

Man its rough out in them rural spots. Not only are the hospitals far out, but the emergency response is far out as well. Imagine waiting 15-25 minutes for an ambulance and then another 25-30 minutes to get to the hospital? To make matters worse, a lot of rural hospitals are closing up because the counties can't afford to keep them open.:francis:

:beli: Youngstown is full of opioid addicts, another sad fact about Cleveland is we have the highest student suicide rate in the country so kids don't even make it past high school :to:, folks here be poor and depressed then try to get fast money and end up dead or locked up, family can't afford to bail you out or bury you.:mjcry:

Philly born. PG raised
On another note, the author of the article got it all wrong; America isnt like other countries where rampant poverty is in the burbs. Its actually in the rural areas. Places like Chester PA, and Newburgh NY are deathtraps.

i don’t know about Newburgh but Chester isn’t rural. But regardless of what it is...:merchant:
