I'll summarize ohio's approach to different cuisines
Out here people complain that spicy nuggets are too spicy.
Chinese food is exotic and they are scared to try it.
Mexican food is ground beef with a mexican spice packet and some Dorito shells.
Indian food ewwww
Soul food restaurants remain empty and go out of business, Meanwhile folks are lined up at the local cac owned BBQ place munching on dry mac n cheese and ribs.
You will get nice steak or seafood at a fine dining establishment though
All BS aside, what you’re describing is most of America frfr.
We (Southeastern VA) just climbed out of the dark ages around 2000 and still have a ways to go.
