I don't call it fufu.. we call it iyun over here. It's legit pounded yam and you eat it with some type of stew. egusi etc.

Idk.. maybe my mom is just a fire cook but that shyt is fire.

We have a brown version of it also which is much better imo.

Eat that shyt with some good stew ooh that shyt some crack :noah:

Nigerian food is the only popular diaspora food I haven’t tried because I’ve been scared away.

Im open as fukk to trying food from everywhere but I have an aversion to anything with a slimy consistency and everytime I see a vid on Nigerian food I can’t get over how slimy it looks and the peoples reaction always confirms my suspicions.

Y’all need to go holla at Senegal and get some tips.

What about jollof rice, plantain, chicken, roasted turkey etc.. there are a lot of Nigerian food that isn't "slimy"

Honestly.. that's one thing pounded yam with stew is slimy.

I didn't know that Mickey D's was the only option in America.
I mean realistically, everyone in america has access to any type of food as long as they are willing to cook it themselves or sit down and wait 20 minutes for it to be prepared.
But if you just want soemthing quick during your lunch break and need to get some already made hot food from a street vendor your options might be limited. You can get a hamburger pretty easy. or Taco from a truck.
But i've seen video of people walking around in different countries, like Jamaica for example. they can walk up to a vendor a get a cup of goat soap or some shyt like that.

Thats harder to find in america. you have to live in certain markets, in Ohio i only see this shyt during festivals and street fairs. It's not some regular shyt.

Jollof rice is from Senegal breh, everything else you named is generic to every west African culture.

The foods specific to Nigeria are only favored by Nigerians.
