Not necessarily. Automation means you don't have to pay for health insurance, vacation/PTO, and other benefits.

Also means less people enriched with income that could be potential customers. Municipalities should also then waive and no longer offer future tax abatements that attract manufacturers as they no longer bring in jobs. It gets large enough, in time I'd expect the tax code would change to make up for lost wh tax revenues too.
