Strikes at the warehouse level, if they are big enough, can make a difference. Depending how publicized the strike was beforehand. Yes, automation is coming, but it's not something that they can just pull the trigger on, plus ALOT of the money/taxbreaks that these companies enjoy are on the contingency that they hire a certain amount of people, with the bigger companies getting the bigger tax breaks having to hire a lot of people. I have been in logistics for 25 years, and work stoppage is a red flag emergency, it's not as easy as throwing 500 people into the new job on 2 days notice, no matter how easy the job is, how experienced/skilled the managers are, etc.. Will this change the face of how Amazon does business? Probably not, but this is the absolute best time to do this, if not now, when?
