I loved Bushmaster too where are we ranking him in the MCU of villains. I didn't see ending coming to be honest I'm definitely going to assume they'll be taking cues from the Shadowland comic. They definitely took cues from Godfather here and i see why.

no order

Thanos
Purple Man
Killmonger
Bushmaster
hard tie: Black Mariah or Cottonmouth or Ebony Maw

The main flaw with Mike Colter (aside from his portrayal not being as street as the comics) his acting is inconsistent. His acting in "tense situations" is actually pretty good.
When he has to act with levity or like a "cat off the block"...its meh

Bad accent aside, Bushmaster is a really solid villain. I definitely prefer the writing this season as it’s more nuanced than season 1 and they didn’t try to force the social commentary. It came across as very natural.

But these accents though...:laff:

As a Jamaican, I find these accents borderline offensive. My mum got so annoyed that she wanted to stop watching. She pointed out that they used Reggae songs that she grew up on and she’s 54. Considering these characters are meant to be in their 30’s and 40’s, they could have used some Supercat, Shabba, Ninjaman or Beenie Man.

Other than that, I don’t have any real complaints about this season, other than Shades still being unconvincing (and :dame:) and Mike Colter being a bit stiff at times.

I’d give this a 7.5/10. That IGN review is bullshyt and if I knew they gave JJ S2 8/10, I would have totally disregarded it.

I'm not Jamaican, but were the accents that bad?

I'm halfway through this season, but I agree with the rest of your assessment.
