What saved Guwop is he has major commercial hits from features he's done. He woulda been dropped from his label a long time ago if not for that.

GUCCI on the other hand was very local/regional in the mid-late 00s with an occacional hit here n there but he got bigger in the 10s and after comin outta jail he def blew up... N with the exception of wayne, he was the biggest influence on three out of the other rappers who influenced and changed the game in the 10s... Sosa n Thugga... (wayne being the other one)

jeezy released The Recession that year & it was a good album, but that mixtape run Gucci had from 07-14 will never be seen again.

I feel, I was rocking with Jeezy before Guwop.
Gucci did not have a machine behind him to specifically cater to and focus on him as an artist.

Puffy formed a group around Jeezy and Def Jam gave him a budget.
That's what I mean by machine...not just getting signed to a major and let you flop around till you fizzle.
