And every post you make about the Dubs and Nets being the best teams ever what is that about :unimpressed:
Nets are the G.O.A.T. offense, best offensive rating of All-Time. It’s to be seen if defense and injuries will be they crutch.

Warriors doesn’t need to be explained. 73-9 season, 3 chips during their run.

That term came a few years later prob created by the media or Bron haters.

The Celtics were marketed as a Big 3. Wasn’t shyt “super” about Miami. They were top heavy and had injuries throughout their runs. We saw good competition.
:unimpressed:

They went to 4 straight finals

Deep down fans don't want the players to have any control of their careers. They talk a lot of shyt about owners they don't like treating players like cattle but that's exactly what the fans want as well.

It's like imagine you were playing chess, you reading the board and see you about 2 moves away from using your queen to put the opponent in checkmate and win the game, but before you can do that the queen decides it doesn't want to go where you want it, it decides to go somewhere else. That's the feeling fans have, they feel as though the good players can just up and do what they want and their organization is never fully in control.

do you think the nba is in a good position right now with 2 teams stock piling nukes while 28 other teams have no chance?

From a business perspective player movement is great and it’s good to see players have power. But as a fan it’s definitely better when superstars stay where they’re at and you see teams build up. Not just for bball but for all sports.

When was Chris Bosh a top 5-7 player?

Did you even watch the playoff runs of 2012 and 2013?

What exactly was super about Miami they were beatable depth left a lot to be desired. They lacked size.

There’s a lot to this point

The Decision in 2010 kicked off the Player Empowerment movement in the NBA and a big part of the media/fans have been hate-watching basketball ever since

There’s other reasons too but hate-watching the NBA is at an all time high 11 years later and it’s out of control

:sas1:
Funny how the so called purists thought the best era for the NBA was in the 80s...........where 2 teams had 3 or more hall of famers and won 80% of the titles. :sas2:

the ether
They were such a superteam that won 1 title
Ok?

so by this logic the Heat weren’t a super team cause they only won 2 rings, right?
They were in the Finals 4 straight years. The Celtics made 2 finals in total.

:skip:
The Celtics could have made 5 straight Finals if KG hadn't gotten hurt in 2009 and Bron hadn't taken them out in 2011 and 2012. How does that change them being a superteam in 2008?

Hell, if KG or KP doesn't get hurt in 2009 and 2010, or if Ray doesn't make that shot in 2013, the Celtics could have ended up with more titles than LeBron's Heat did. But that doesn't matter cause they just move the goalposts to whatever works in the moment.

The LeBron-Kyrie Cavs and LeBron-AD Lakers only won one title yet posters here call them superteams all the time. :mjlol:

If we would’ve got Pau before the season instead of midway I think we would’ve won. Phil and Kobe would’ve been able to plan it out all summer
That's one "what if", but of course the Celtics losing KG completely in 2009 and losing Perkins when up 3-2 in 2010 are stronger "what ifs" than Pau getting a few extra games to build chemistry.

I never saw the Celtics as a super team in real time

The Heat are the first team that comes to mind when I see that term .
The Shaq-Kobe-Malone-Payton Lakers were definitely called a superteam in real time. The Celtics were too. But you're right that it wasn't until Bron did it that the media really jumped in with the hate and tried to make it into a huge negative before they'd even played a game.
