There are conspiracy theories going around that AEW is really just a work by WWE and an invasion is coming :jbhmm:

  • On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned “there is a front runner” for the AEW TV deal but they likely wouldn’t do big numbers on it from the start if they go to that network.
He already juelzing
He needs to just admit he has a relationship with AEW (if he hasn’t already as I stopped listening ) I thought it was be biggest deal since wcw and shyt . I’ve heard literally nothing negative from AEW seemingly reported from him ( based on the articles I see online ) but if wwe says 15,000 attendance he’s on his but it was actually13,566 according to my numbers.
Can someone who listens to him still say anything about how he covers MLW?

Sounds like it's going to be something like Fuel or WGN America or possibly a subscription service like B/R Live, ESPN+ or DAZN. Wouldn't be surprised if they got the deal that One got from TNT, live on B/R live and one hour taped on TNT.

I (as a subscriber) am not interested in companies on an irreversible death march like MLW & impact

How is MlW and impact on a death march ?? And i thought we wanted more options than WWE ? So now we don’t ? You literally know nothing about the creative of AEW

There wasn’t room for 3 National companies when wrestling was at its peak (either time). Definitely isn’t now.

I always thought dazn would be interesting. They've been making big moves. Nfl, champions league, boxing.

Meltzer saying wouldn't do big numbers at first would make sense too cause its a growing platform

I remember watching WWF, AWA, USWA, NWA all on television in the mid and late 80's

NWA Jim Crockett was #2 and was quickly declining before selling to Ted Turner. AWA declined fast as #3. USWA was national for a year before becoming WWF developmental. ECW was national on TNN for 13 months before its death spiral. TNA did last and last though through losing $100 million and being cancelled from 4 different networks
