They sold out a show in 30 seconds 2 weeks ago.

I swear we're gonna have fans calling the whole promotion dead on arrival if the first TV show episode doesn't beat Raw in the ratings....ya'll need to chill.

They're so conditioned to hate watch WWE, they want/predict everything else to be bad too. :dead:

Of course it'll lose its luster a bit once it gets started. Everything right now is hype and fantasy, but that doesn't mean it won't be good. Doesn't mean it won't be bad either, but to say they are losing steam when they just sold out their first AEW show is ridiculous.

It's a new promotion that will have to bite, scratch and claw to find its place as a regularly promoted company. That's to be expected. People need to adjust their expectations or just admit to wanting it to fail.

Not really.

It's hard to keep the hype up for months at a time with no TV despite CONSTANT talk that huge networks want them and it's going to be a great deal the best deal believe me to now they're talking about "well maybe we could do just one show a month or something lol idk" , a PPV with 2 matches announced months away, all of their trademarks have been denied, and their way of hyping the PPV is running the same angle over and over at various indie shows.

They still don't have a roster locked down, a handful of free agents that work everywhere and a lot of talk about scouting. Unless you're really into these guys and follow everything they do, I think it's pretty reasonable for some to feel like it's losing steam/hype. None of these dudes have even worked anywhere since Wrestle Kingdom.

Not often I agree with this guy but he has great points especially the last one. They should have worked something out with ROH/NJPW in the short term or something. Cause these dudes will only have wrestled a handful of times in a matter of months.

I'm suprised and disappointed that they didn't at least work something out for MSG. Even if it was just a 10 man tag or some shyt.

I do think any hype they've lost, they will regain from Double Or Nothing. They need to get some shyt going after that though

Its the social media microwave era so if you don't get some type of notification about something big within 24 hours the perception is you could :russ:

It's probably best they slowed down on all that wild "change the world" talk. It's still February. Eventually they would have started making silly guarantees about beating WWE. I think it finally sunk in that they have to actually get on tv still. And they have to book venues for months and months ahead of time. And a lot of other business side things that they never thought of on a non-indy level.
