He dumbed himself down for black radio. The "daring, creative and artistic" kanye went out the window when it was time for black radio. Meanwhile, for the white audience he went out and got a legend in Paul McCartney and made a more uplifting song. Crazy that we dont see thru the bullshyt.
Ya'll reaching with the whole "Move That Dope"/"Happy" being for black people/white people notion. First, "Move That Dope" isn't even Pharrell's song, so of course he's not going to perform it on Ellen. Second, "Happy" was not made for white people. It started off as a song on a soundtrack for a kid movie. It just happened to blow up and it became universal. It's a song that was even performed in black churches. It got play on Urban stations. The biggest kicker is that "Happy" wasn't even shopped as a Pharrell song at first, it was presented to Cee-Lo Green.
As for "Move That Dope", it's Future's song FEATURING Pharrell. "Happy" is a song with universal appeal where "Move That Dope" is most likely for niche audiences. It's also pretty naive to think that white people didn't play or listen to "Move That Dope". A lot of white publications had "Move That Dope" on their list of best songs of last year.
Ya'll acting like it was Pharrell that made a concerted effort to say "I'll release 'Happy' for white folks and drop a verse on 'Move That Dope' for blacks".
Glad i could "awaken" atleast 1 person. Sad that fellow blacks would call me an "uncle tom" for doing so. The brainwashing is extremely deep in our community to the point that anybody who DARES speak up and point out tools used in systematic oppression (media propaganda) is labeled a "c00n" "sellout", etc. @Vice Queen keep your eyes open. Media propaganda is one of the most effective tools being used against us right now to keep negative stereotypes about us alive to not only the world but to ourselves also. Hence, the self hate in our community.

@1-31. OP, Is this you trying to think?
2. Think as hard as you can for 30 seconds
3. Never do that again
1. I'm not a Kanye fan
2. If Kanye (or anyone) followed thread starter's assessment their career would tank
