Glad i could "awaken" atleast 1 person. Sad that fellow blacks would call me an "uncle tom" for doing so. The brainwashing is extremely deep in our community to the point that anybody who DARES speak up and point out tools used in systematic oppression (media propaganda) is labeled a "c00n" "sellout", etc. @Vice Queen keep your eyes open. Media propaganda is one of the most effective tools being used against us right now to keep negative stereotypes about us alive to not only the world but to ourselves also. Hence, the self hate in our community.

phonzhi is probably the biggest uncle tom on this forum

I got that too. It blew my mind because I never thought of it.

SOMBODY has to be that dude. Ill take the baton. White brainwashing has alot of blacks "drunk" so to speak. Somebody has to be the sober one. And yep, u rite @Christopher browns most mainstream rap we SHOULD be embarrassed and offended by. Currently in the black community this is one of the hottest songs out. Post me a mainstream song of a white artist rapping/singing about cooking up dope

He dumbed himself down for black radio. The "daring, creative and artistic" kanye went out the window when it was time for black radio. Meanwhile, for the white audience he went out and got a legend in Paul McCartney and made a more uplifting song. Crazy that we dont see thru the bullshyt.

im more offended that "all day" seemed like a lazy ass song with a tired hook "How long you nikkas ball?" :scusthov:

Alot of us are EXTREMELY brainwashed. Yes. And thats by design. "Idiots" no. Now back to my question that u ignored. Why didnt i ever hear Move That Dope on stations aimed at white youth? Why dont white artists make songs about moving dope? They do it too ya know

Umm cause it was future song, not pharrell's

Oh, whatta ya know... another thread about what black people should feel and why we should be offended...

...and yet at the same time, saying anything that doesn't have an ignorant element to it such a "4 5 Seconds" or "Happy" is "made for white people"

The dualities.

Smh@ anyone believing a song titled Move That Dope" was meant to uplift and positively motivate the black youth. Ive seen that quote before and anyone that believes it is an idiot. And it doesnt matter if it was HIS song or not. He was featured on it. He was the getaway driver in my book. Just as guilty

it ain't his song tho :leostare:

Pharrell didn't really wanna be on the song in the first place

"It was a difficult situation for him," Future recalls. "He was going to the Oscars, and whatever he was in was a different music space, and to get him to do a verse on a song with that subject matter was difficult. He was like, 'Man, I don't know if I should do this, 'cause I don't want, like, a big backlash on me. I love this song, but I don't want a backlash.' I was like, 'Man, no, it's a positive message. The verse is telling people to let everything go. You have a message that's positive throughout your verse. I think people need to hear that, 'cause your voice is such a big voice in hip-hop.' And he was down with it in the end."

1. OP, Is this you trying to think?
2. Think as hard as you can for 30 seconds
3. Never do that again :stopitslime:

1. I'm not a Kanye fan

2. If Kanye (or anyone) followed thread starter's assessment their career would tank

I mean if you really feel that way then you shouldnt listen to most rap music. Listen to Herbie Hancock. Or Pac. He used alot of live instruments with actual chord changes

:ehh: Ill give you Graduation.

-Through the wire and Jesus Walks are both introspective
-Same with heartless and amazing (to an extent) which is why I left them out...nothing "ignorant" about those
-Gotta disagree with All of the lights. And power isn't an "ignorant" song forreal

Meh. Kanye has never struck me as a particularly intellectual artist. His appeal to me stood from his beats and clever word play/catchy hooks. 4/5seconds compared to All Day dont strike as drastically different in terms complexity with regard to concept or content. 'All day' however is jarringly lazy; I really hate that hook lol. Some of the bars in verse are actually clever and the beat is dope, but the hook is just so weak in my opinion. Kanye knows his lane and he's staying in it. He's a pop star, so the onus lies on him to make great pop records. Don't know why you're expecting more from him. :yeshrug:
