I kno N Thats fine...fat Dan also said press row all had close scores N draws

nikkas of all colors all around my section had it close

The Coli had it 10-2 Lamont :francis:

I had it 10-2 for Lamont...gave him every round but the 6th and 10th. I lean towards boxing and movement over coming forward but no success landing anything that mattered or missing badly. I prefer Boxers, so I'm biased to them. (Herrera/Garcia, Lara/Canelo, Floyd/Canelo, DLH/Tito, etc)

Like I posted earlier, 2 of the 3 judges gave Peterson the sweep of rounds 8 through 12....that's 5 rounds won at minimum and should be unarguable by anyone.

I just don't see how anyone who thinks Swift won, didnt have Lamont winning at LEAST 2 of the first 7 rounds. That's crazy to me. You would have had to have Swift up 7-0 in order to win this fight or up 6-1 to get a draw entering the 8th round going by the majority of the judge's cards.

This fight did come down to personal preference though:yeshrug:

This is why I try to be objective as possible and don't let the stanning/hatred cloud my judgement.

I thought Lara lost to Canelo, and I thought Peterson lost to Swift. Out of those 4 boxers, Lamont clearly had the most dominant moments.

At the end of the day, I'm not mad because I needed Lamont to lose in order to be stripped:lolbron:

Garcia got the official W, and is probably about to move up and vacate now:blessed:

That means AB has 2 titles available to go after:banderas:

Breh, remember how I said nikkas started filling out there score cards early.

Swift ain't even finish the ring walk, before some nikkas already had him losing 3 rounds. :mjlol:

I'll be the first one to say I was disappointed in Swift... He gassed late had no power late N got beat up them last 2 RDS

Peterson lost the fight Swift didn't win it

But them first 6 rds by Lamont was running...he wasn't throwing punches N then he's dancing N showing off

But if we posting the rounds we saying Peterson won, how can yall argue?

I have yet to see people who think Garcia won posting the 7 rounds they gave, at minimum, to Garcia:mjpls:

Please show us so we can debate those rounds. No way did I watch a fight that Lamont lost 7 rounds, but I will look again if yall can provide the 7 rounds Garcia won:manny:

I dont get what you mean when you say Lucas started off slow... He won 4, if not, 5 rounds in the first half.. That was a great start.. The moment his eye closed in the 6th it was down hill from there. Swift could do whatever he wanted to do... Had his eye not closed, LM would've won a lopsided victory

I gotta watch that fight again then because I didnt see anything to suggest he was winning all the early rounds. I didnt see that at all. It looked like a close fight to me in the beginning. I swear I dont remember dude doing that much but maybe I am wrong. In either case, my point is to say, a puncher wants the fight to be as short as possible so they come looking for the KO. A boxer or person who chooses to box is trying to extend the fight as far as possible. Lucas usually always comes on strong in the 2nd half. Against Danny, I thought they fought a close fight til Danny broke it open. Remember, people didnt think Danny would last much longer than Peterson did.

I hope all the nikkas that had Peterson winning, had Algieri beating Ruslan as well since he didn't clown or take as many breaks on offense as Lamont did.

Just saying.

I hope all the nikkas that had Garcia winning this fight had Algieri losing to Provodnikov:sas2:

I was disappointed in Swift too breh and I don't even stan him, but I respect his skills and defend dude on here all the time.

I don't think it's fair to say Lamont ran those 1st 6 rounds. He boxed effectively for 3 of those 6 rounds. I thought he snagged the 1st two, but he slowly started giving fans the Lara/Mora routine and his punch output dropped. That's when Swift started to take over and make the rounds debatable. Peterson only really dominated the last 2 rounds. He did snag either the 8th or 9th, but that's when they were trading and Danny was still landing too.

Peterson gave the fight away just like Clottey did against Cotto.

Algieri's boxing performance in that fight >>>> Lamont's boxing performance against Swift.

Ruslan only looked good in like 3 rounds of that whole fight whereas Swift pretty much took all the middle rounds.

At the end of the day, both fights were close and I don't think anybody got robbed. Ruslan could have done more to win, and Peterson could have too. Matter of fact Swift could have made his win much clearer too, but when you got a bunch of B level nikkas fighting each other, close fights like this tend to happen. :manny:

Beltran dropped Burns and won like 8 or 9 rounds clearly and he got a draw. Now that's a robbery. Nobody can tell me Lamont did more than what Beltran did in that fight.

2 of the judges had it 5-1 N 6-0 Swift

One of them late RDS I know Swift clearly won (he threw some combos N landed good punches) maybe the 10th?? N I member Lamont doin the running man in one if them late rds too

Ionno breh I didn't see it on TV...in person Swifts shots were heavier (til he gassed) in them Lamont LA Hoya rds nothing stood out as punches landed cept Dannys work to the body :manny:

Them last rds tho :beli:.... No reason Swift should a been gassed N lose all his power like that

Another Gold Medal
breh is 117-111 really not a possible score for this fight ?

Danny walked up to him and said he lost after the fight but we're the crazy ones with 9-3 cards :francis:

This wasn't like the Lara/Canelo fight where you can attribute body shots to give him rounds, this nikka was swinging at air. :mindblown:

And :mjlol: at dudes saying he should have walked down Swift earlier. For what, he was easily outboxing him from the outside and Swift is dangerous as fukk in those early rounds. He would have walked him down and got that Amir Khan work. Peterson's gameplan was perfect he saw what other fighters had success against Danny with and combined it into something that best suited his style.

Like I said earlier in the thread performance of PED career and he got robbed for it. :francis:

At the end of the day, Swift won and we won because it was a good match up and fight.
