Danny didn't do shyt until the eye swelled. In the first half, Lucas was boxing very well and ducking underneath the hook. At times I saw lamont do the same thing last night. Finish every punch by ducking underneath and even thought to myself, "he must have watched what Lucas did". I'm still not convinced Garcia clearly beat Lucas. He didn't do shyt in the first half of that fight.

They way Garcia was bytching about Peterson's movement, I started having flashbacks of Mayorga/Spinks

Broner will fight super cautious against Danny just like Peterson did early. Lamont got that cold chin where you can hurt him early so once I seen him make it past the 6th round without getting hurt, I knew Swift was in for some work.

Swift is the type of guy you gotta box and grind it out against. Herrera got the outboxing part right, but he didn't have the strength or power to grind it out in the trenches while Danny was throwing those power punches. He'd clinch, hold, or walk him back instead of throwing which would frustrate, but not win close rounds. Lamont got the grinding part right and really took it to Swift on the inside, but he couldn't dominate the boxing part and made those stretches too close to score for him.

I look at it like this.
Herrera and Peterson exposed 2 of Danny's flaws on separate nights, but neither could get the official victory because they didn't have the right manager.

Peterson is an excellent fighter, I have been praising his skills for some time....but he has the most horrible game plans in conjunction with his style out of any fighter out there. Last night is how he shouldve been fighting Matthysse. That's why many of us picked him to beat LM.

maKNEEsay is just a bad matchup for peterson all the way around. he couldn't pressure lucas because lucas is a better inside fighter than danny. in fact thats how peterson got knocked out. he got knocked down in the 2nd by trying to stay away, so he decided to take the fight to the inside and got sent to the bushes. I can't see peterson ever beating lucas.

I don't even think he'd have to. that immediate pressure will have danny shaky as hell. it's possible maidana could get hurt but when he gets knocked down he comes back even stronger. he took HUGE punches from ortiz and he shook em off like nothing. and garcia doesn't have the precision of ortiz. danny gets gassed from slow paced fights. in a fight with maidana he'd be gassed after a few rounds then it's nap time.

What Peterson did was make Danny miss and keep running and that's the same shyt Lara did against Canelo...

The difference with the Lara fight is Lara never landed anything effective, hence why most pretty much agree he lost...Even though Canelo was only landing body shots, those body shots were more effective than the 3 jabs per round Lara was landing...Peterson clearly landed the harder more effective punches last night and all you need to do is take a look at Garcia's face to know that...
