Idk how these dudes can be fathers while training their son.

You can't, because styles make fights. Just because Lamont Peterson looked great against Danny Garcia doesnt mean anything against someone else. Don't forget, Danny beat Matthysse clear, who KOd Peterson in 2 rounds, who gave Garcia all hell.

Lamont was also much bigger than the Lucas fight. If LP went against Lucas weighing 163 lbs, no way was he gonna be
flopping all over the place like a fish outta water. I wont go as far as saying he beats Matthyssee but if nothing else it would have been a much longer more competitive fight.
Plus even with the added weight he looked quicker on his feet against Danny than he did against LM

Danny had a good gameplan going in and his coach didn't have him adjust to Peterson's stalking. It was the same guard he had up0 and was throwing the same combo all night. Weak right jab then left hook. He needs better training to add a few more weapons in his arsenal. Peterson is a good counter puncher so if you keep showing him the same combo/lead/punch he will time you to a T which is what I saw posted in those gifs all over the net. The first 3 rounds he threw like 8-15 punches, you can't win rds like that bro. You making him miss then land a counter, whether it'd be a jab or a hook, which Danny was open to all night since he kept dropping the right hand to guard his chin. Peterson did good body work and good lateral movement all through the fight. He was cutting the ring and getting Swift off balance making him hiss and swift air, but the only thing he did wrong was not engaging early. That cost him the rds based off Danny's activity.

Overall, this fight hurt Danny much more than it helps. Some will say he got gifted and others can see he clearly got outboxed and could not fight going backwards. that Peterson who fought Danny last would have given anybody problem though. I won't even say no names
Swift could have beat him easy as he was doing , it wasn't about gameplan, Swift is about to be the sports next ppv star, he felt that pressure on national tv to get that big ko, unfortunately he fought a nikka that was content on running and spoiling, and became disinterested

nikkas acting like Peterson didn't win are confusing me. In order for Peterson to not win, you would've had to have Danny Garcia winning the first 6 rounds straight....and he didn't imo:manny:

I want to know which rounds yall gave Garcia:mjpls:

So, seeing that by the judges cards, at least 1 judge gave Peterson the 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12th round....that's 6 rounds alone:ufdup:

You telling me Peterson didn't win at least 1 of the first 6 rounds to get the win?

I had Danny losing 5 of the first 6, because he was being clearly out boxed, couldn't cut off the ring, getting hit cleaner and wasn't connecting with anything but air...even though he was throwing. Same reason I had Lara winning the early rounds on Canelo until Canelo started cutting off the ring and attacking Lara's body is how I had Peterson up. Garcia didn't apply any body work at all early like Canelo did though.

Imo, this fight broke down to Boxing > Slugging and what you prefer. I thought Peterson was boxing beautifully and I prefer that style over brawling. Same people saying Peterson was running claim Lara and Floyd beat Canelo and was upset with CJ Ross' scorecard:sas1:

Let me find out CJ Ross has multiple accounts on thecoli.com:sas2:

Danny won rounds 5,6,10 IMO. The crazy thing is I don't even see the rounds Lamont won even being questionable. He danced around Danny, landed clean on Danny, made Danny miss, walked Danny down, punched through Danny, made Danny retreat, landed combinations. He looked like Margarito in the final 6 rounds the way he walked Danny down. Danny looked scared in there the final 6 rounds.

Notice how the dudes in here talking about Danny winning the first half of the fight conveniently leaving out what rounds he won. I gave him three but I can see how you could give him four rounds. Aside from that this was a great performance by Peterson. He won it from the outside, he won it on the inside, was walking Danny down and had him on the defensive. nikkas talking about he fought stupid :camby: is he supposed to stand toe to toe with Danny during the first half of the fight when he is at his strongest. This was the performance of PED career and it's fukked up that they robbed him for it.

And you can't say I'm biased because I scored the Herrera fight for Danny and that was wayyy closer than this. :stopitslime:
Dañny soon rounds 1,2,3,5,6, and 7. Peterson should have been throwing more combos. Danny outlander him in power shots badly early on.

That's because Matthysse is actually better in cutting off the ring than Garcia is, so he can get to you faster. Similar to Antonio Margarito who was "slow" on his feet...but can cut off the ring with his angles and get there quick via anticipation of your movement

I agree with everything you said. I thought Peterson was gonna drop him at some points at the end:lupe:

This is some incredible spin right here. I can't see people lining up to watch Danny on PPV after that punishment he took last night. He got embarrassed out there on national TV. It might have been better if he got an official loss, just so he could avenge it. Now if he doesn't fight Peterson again, that 30-0 will be looking funny in the light.

"Running and spoiling"....how would you describe the last 6 rounds?

That's 6 rounds breh. That means you had it a draw:mjpls:

You gave Peterson rounds 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 then.

That's certainly true Lucas is like Ali compared to Swift (the fukking irony) but Lamont still appeared noticeably faster and more agile this fight.
Maybe he had to cut too hard to make 140
and wasn't able to fully recover, maybe he's just a better fighter now or at least this training camp/fight than he was against Matthyssee, who knows. I will say one thing though

Lamonts got me believing again, hopefully he can keep at this level if not outright improve in his future fights
