:jbhmm:Question…do you bruhs prefer Cameron’s idea of a Xenomorph queen. And the Xenomorphs basically being space bugs with a hive and all. Or Scott’s og vision of the Xenomorphs being a bioweapon created from the black goo. We know that Scott originally wasn’t fun of Aliens, and the idea of a Queen. But which do you prefer queen or bioweapon?
The black goo isn’t just a bioweapon, it’s also how the engineers seeded life throughout the universe, i dig that idea a bit more

hello there. Big time alien fan. Major disagree wit those who try to convince themselves Prometheus and covenant were good entries. They were not. Most especially covenant. Obviously having a stellar actor like fassbender can hide that but he wasn’t enough.
Romulus suffered from the opposite effect
Terrific story concept and execution wonderfully directed and shot. But lacking a powerful performer to latch us on.
Definitely far more enjoyed this over the last two we got.
This was for sure a step in the proper direction.
I’m a fan of Prometheus because it tried something different and added to the world building of Alien, I think it is a good movie but flawed, Covenant was just trash. This was a great return to the original style of Alien while incorporating stuff from the other films. I definitely agree there wasn’t an actor on Sigourney’s level but I do like breh and the main girl as the movie went on

I’m not talking about the black goo. I’m talking about Cameron and Scott’s different takes on the Xenomorph.
Sorry, I misunderstood, I get what you’re saying now. I don’t think the ideas are mutually exclusive. Both ideas don’t contradict each other. Scott’s Alien had eggs, Cameron just expanded on that. The black goo may have created the xenomorph but they still have a life cycle like a normal organic being.

:salute:You good bruh we’re just BSing about Alien lol. But Scott never intended for there to be a queen. The eggs at least from Scott, came from the hosts body morphing into an egg. And not from a queen that was Cameron’s idea.

Interesting, I was not aware that was Scott's take. Hmm. I'd have to think about that.

Been having this conversation given that Alien Earth is skipping The Engineers, or if it does mention them it will be minimal.

I don't see why both can't be true in the same universe though. The alien could naturally have a way to reproduce, given that its adaptable and has been genetically engineered to some degree. Especially if theres a regular pre engineer version.

Prometheus is not a perfect film but its easily one of my favorites because it has an expansive philosophy to it. Its rare to find a movie like that, let alone with high production value.

Having watched all the movies recently I'll say this - the last hour or so of Aliens is absolute fire. Theres no wasted moment, its pure adrenaline. The first half where the cast is showing off their giant guns for extended periods and spitting typical action cliches is corny, and jarring if you watch it right after the original. Its not like it ruins the film, but maybe that aspect didn't age well. Sigourney Weaver is fantastic the whole way through.

The Other A
the movie felt like a little side release comic to the original movie tbh.

This. But still a good movie.

Alot scenes were dope like the way the Droid went from wimpy simp to I'll fukk you up if I wanted to, to yall follow me I'm running shyt now... that was dope lol

And the gun scene :wow:

What I liked about it the most was almost throughout the entire movie it was paying homage to the franchise in little ways. Little Easter eggs in the background, dude showing shawty how the gun works or the way certain scenes looked like ol girl coming off the elevator holding the gun with the air blowing and siren lights behind her (Sigourney in Aliens)

I'm a super fan so I noticed all that shyt
