It's what prometheus and covenant should have been. Capitalize on what makes the franchise good without trying to add unnecessary dumb shyt...

Overall good movie... Not "OMG you gotta see this"
It was good, the infant scenario was already done though. Prometheus would of been better if they left in the cut scenes with the engineer

Surprised this flick had that large drop off box office wise. WW over 200 tho. Did well enough.

Actually it dropped in line with what a R-Rated Horror film would. It's hard to drop 50% when you are R-rated the next week. It should stablize this week but It's doing gangbusters overseas and in China. It's already on pace to out gross "Covenant" which was the last entry so that's good. I don't think it will top "Prometheus" but it will get close, we'll see. I think it has a strong chance at 400 Million but 350 is still very good for a Sci-Fi Horror. Remember this was suppose to come on Hulu like "Prey" did and once the studio saw the first cut they changed their mind. Plus they kept the budget in check at 80 Million, and a young cast that obviously didn't break the bank. It's also on pace to pass the other Alien film this Summer "Quiet Place: Day One" which was PG13. They said it's already one of the biggest hits in China this year. Fede even wrote a letter thanking Chinese Audiences.

Yeah I just thought word of mouf was better since this week nothing big came out it had a chance to have a big 2nd week.

But it's doing solid numbers for sure. Definitely no flop.
