No. You're right. The CPC did just AOC and Ro.

But there are costs. Such as:

• AOC and Ro now have much higher profiles than the leaders of the CPC.
• AOC and Ro have more legitimacy and sway with the base than the leaders of the CPC.
• They've now risked their leadership positions because of PAYGO and AOC and Ro are the likely contenders for their positions.
• AOC and Ro influence in future debates and bills just increased because of this.
  
• Pelosi can't save the leaders of the CPC.
  
• Pelosi knows she can't have PAYGO in the rules next session. She'll be dragged for it. Badly.

Short-term those two lost. Long-term, they won. At least from a strategic standpoint.

Honestly, I'd like to hear a good reason why they shouldn't be taxed 100% for their income over 10M. No one needs to make more than 10M a year, especially when it comes at the expense of the rest of us.
