That's a good point. I think it's helpful to have progressives couple the tax talk with explanations about what it could pay for. WaPo did a good job at that; they paired the amount of money that would be generated with progressive proposals that could be paid for by that revenue (some only partially to be fair).

So only after $10 mil threshold does the 70% take affect on anything above $10 mil.

But if her plan is to increase social programs and guarantee things like jobs, housing, etc, i see why she's pushing this.

She and Ro just made themselves leaders of the Progressive party. They put Pelosi on notice. Those two CPC leaders who voted yes most likely won't have those positions in 2021. Comparing shytty low-wage jobs to multi-millions contracts aren't the same. The motivation is gonna be much different. If someone says tells me, "I'll pay you $30M for this movie", I'm not gonna be all that excited (as a rich person). I know I'm only getting $16M from that. If anything, I'm not gonna let you pay that $30M all in 1 year. It'll be paid out over 3 years if anything.
