So he wasn't the one crying about AOC not putting M4A for a vote so he can see who's against it? :patrice:
Yeah that was him but there was also a plea for assistance despite past beefs for all Progressive to pressure the pols with it. And most said fukk off we can't get past you being a jerk to fight for M4A and it went nowhere. :yeshrug:

Her and The Squad have a unique opportunity they can block any legislation they want if they used basic political strategy and withold their vote for concessions from leadership/Republicans. They were supposed to oppose the establishment. They don't have to do what any media member/comedian tells them to but being the Get Along Gang with Dem leadership isn't what they were elected for. Until the so called Progressives do something they going to get darts.
And we need to hold all pols accountable. No one is asking AOC to do anything she didn't say she would do before getting elected.

Threatening to block legislation only works if the other side wants things to pass. Republicans don't want to pass anything and the neoliberals are fine with just being able to point a finger and say there was nothing they could do. Also as has been mentioned any concessions they get in a house bill will get stripped out in the senate then it's a back and forth until the midterms with nothing done.

It could also serve as a spotlight on issues. The Dems are set to lose the House next election. DO SOMETHING to shake things up. When AOC got elected was giving Dem leadership a pass even accolades part of the program or nah?

I'm comparing possible M4A vote with the minimum wage vote that happened and the outcome of it all.

$15 minimum wage has as much support from general public as M4A and had a much higher profile fight in the senate and the media (as a part of the reconciliation bill and the whole parliamentarian bullshyt). And still none of those 8 democrats that voted against will face any consequences, nobody is marching in Delaware to Chris c00ns and Tom Carpers house to protest (nobody even knows who Carper is). Sinema was basically spitting in peoples' faces with her antics and I doubt she will have any trouble in her primary either.

Now lets compare that with a random fukking vote in House of Representatives for M4A which will crash and burn losing by 100 votes.

But obviously it was never about M4A for Jimmy Dore :hubie:

The difference is there wasn't any organizing around the minimum wage like again Jimmy was asking for from all corners of the Progressive movement with ForcetheVote. They just had a 40 city March for M4A this past weekend.

Because even if it's able to squeeze through the House its dead on arrival in the Senate. That's the whole point and we just saw it happen with minimum wage increase.

But I'm sure Biden's rape accuser and white nationalist lead marches for M4A without any appearances from bill co-sponsors or support from unions will make a huge difference.

When Republicans had the House they tried to repeal Obamacare ud times.
They got nothing better to do. Signal to your constituents you are trying.
