So dumb...:snoop:.

Far left is going to die on this sloganeering hill. As long as they believe they're being righteous, they seem unaffected about actually being productive.

Yes we can! Worked pretty good for him. lol
It's bullshyt, the people who ran on Defund the Police won. People who didn't lost are looking outside their campaign for someone or something to blame.

He thought "Yes We Can" was corny. Axelrod had to beat sense into it.

It was a pretty good slogan at the time to me as a 18 year old. Looking back, how insipid and sucralose was that slogan. "Yes We Can"... Do what?

That's neither here nor there, maybe he can lend Axelrod to the Squad and have him compose some similar slogans. :unimpressed:

All safe districts my guy. Listen to your elders.

Yeah, and if you weren't from a safe district you didn't run on it. You lost for some other reason but want to blame someone else.
Oh if we are listening to Clyburn I guess Bernie should be in Biden's cabinet then? But I bet Biden ignores that. Please have the same energy and take him to task when that is solidified. lol

For anyone who seriously believes there is a more banal slogan out there that is immune to criticism, I refer you to Colin Kaepernick.

This nikka did the most benign protest ever. He knelt during the national anthem (following the advice of a military veteran). He explained his actions beforehand, and made sure to specify he was not disrespecting the flag or the military, but was bringing attention to police brutality.

Someone please explain to me what the fukk good that did him. Was that too extreme for Obama and Clyburn? Maybe Clyburn thinks that was too extreme for John Lewis (RIP) :unimpressed:

A marine told him this was the most respectful way to protest and he was largely painted as disrespecting the military. :unimpressed:

He doesn’t agree with defund the police but doesn’t want to lose people by saying it.
This whole shyt is a charade designed to coddle moderates' weak sense of moral righteousness. They're so used to only dealing with Republicans, so they can't stand being outflanked on the left. Their entire sense of self-identification is built around being the leaders of the whole movement for good. They don't want to be seen as "the baddies" so they pretend that they have the same ideological goals as progressives, just a different, more reasonable way of achieving them. It's nonsense. They absolutely do not have the same goals. If they could snap their fingers, the police would not be defunded, there wouldn't be universal healthcare, the economy wouldn't be environmentalized, and the wealthy wouldn't be properly reigned in. So we keep having these superficial and fake arguments as if we all want the same things when we don't.

We're all in a car on the east coast and taking a roadtrip west, but for moderates the destination is the Midwest and for progressives the destination is the Pacific Ocean. And we're arguing about how much gas we'll need for our trip.
