Obama said on 60 Minutes while promoting his book and I have heard similar rhetoric from Biden they plan to address police brutality by doing the opposite of Defund the Police and giving Police Departments MORE money for training. I'm sure that will go over well with people concerned about the issue in the Dem base. lol

That would not look so bad if the Centrist Democrats would talk about real punishments for cops that go over the line none of that slap on the wrist stuff but there not even trying to do that it just make them look like political correct Republicans trying to protect Police who cross the line.

For anyone who seriously believes there is a more banal slogan out there that is immune to criticism, I refer you to Colin Kaepernick.

This nikka did the most benign protest ever. He knelt during the national anthem (following the advice of a military veteran). He explained his actions beforehand, and made sure to specify he was not disrespecting the flag or the military, but was bringing attention to police brutality.

Someone please explain to me what the fukk good that did him. Was that too extreme for Obama and Clyburn? Maybe Clyburn thinks that was too extreme for John Lewis (RIP) :unimpressed:
It’s mind blowing. Literally any slogan or stance or protest for change will be weaponized by bad faith right wingers. It’s all they do, and it’s a waste of time to keep worrying about how we should react to their constant scream machine. They’ve literally been doing it for decades if not centuries.

These are the people who called Joe Biden a socialist for Christ’s sake. At what point do you stop being so worried about playing defense against bad faith attacks?

Rural area D left for good under his watch. Bill started it, Barack finishes it off.
Indeed, and if you read the article it seems he is writing off a segment of black men too. "I think men generally are more susceptible to public figures who act tough, try to project a stereotypical macho style. I don't think Black men are immune to that any more than white or Hispanic men are."

Nothing to do with poor outreach to black men, which was pointed out during the campaign season and not strongly pointing to the policy that will benefit black people.

Dems became the party of "that looks bad" and thinking that is enough.
