Seems to be fairly local and only encompassing a few districts. But whatever, if that's the case they chose poorly IMO.

Politicians get finessed in real estate deals all the time especially new york. Engel is as dirty as they come, but he has the decades of experience to get done one of the largest infrastructure projects in that area ever.

On top of that the CBC has already positioned themselves to make sure blacks in those districts get jobs. They made a choice. Many of those jobs will be well paying for almost a decade. There are very few instances of great salary job growth, in black urban areas and that actually hire locals for those jobs.

This is literally a once in a generation project.

that made their political decision. :francis:

Even if Bowman wins, they've hedged their bets by making sure he gets money from their donators as well. Idk if he'll be able to navigate the dirty world of real estate in NYC day 1 though.

I mean the largest common denominator between the candidates she went at, were they were black.
That is a lie, less than half of them were black.

The same reason she endorsed Jamaal Bowman a Black man vs Eliot Engel a white Jewish male candidate
And Charles Booker a Black Man vs AmyMcGrath a white women :krs:
Watch how many times he'll ignore this shyt. :mjlol:

so you’re right.

how does this equate to aoc targeting CBC incumbents at a disproportionate level?
You've claimed to work some smart-person job before even if your posts here don't betray it. So let me know, how many CBC members has AOC targeted, total. And is that enough to make this ridiculous "disproportionate rate" bullshyt claim? Do your math for me now.

In an attempt to be understanding of his position, I can relate to having negative feelings toward something/someone who I am not personally impressed by but is widely popular. And we know feelings/emotions can undermine your intellectual capacity and make you think or say some irrational/stupid things. If you don't like AOC which is your right just say that. But this whole mental gymnastics to try and say AOC is definitely targeting CBC members is the irrational taking hold due to intense emotions. lol

He controls the top 5 or 10 most expensive public infrastructure project in American History. :francis:

More total fukking bullshyt. Engel doesn't control that project, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey does. Engel has little to no power there, he just submits his opinion to the committee like any resident can. Engel ain't even the main Congressman publicly pushing the project, Nadler out of the 10th Congressional district is. I googled "Engel" and "Cross Harbor Rail Tunnel" and got NOTHING except for a positive word he put in back in 2015. Even in this pro-tunnel article by a newspaper supporting Engel's reelection, it doesn't mention anything about Engel backing the project even though it specifically mentions Nadler's support.

Oh please, give me the receipts for how the fukk the CBC has done that. :mjlol:

Engel doesn't control that project. And that project isn't being pushed hard by the CBC. You're just totally full of shyt.

Dude also co-signed corruption if it is in the name of jobs. lol He's off the reservation with this, it's just blind defense of CBC. Whatever, if you feel that much affection for elected officials just cause you are part of the same race I gotta let it go because I'm not even remotely thinking like that.

That's not even the reason. He vehemently hates progressives. He was already saying he hated AOC back before she was even signed in. This is the same guy who said that Biden's anti-integration statements in the 1970s were pro-Black and who was trying to blame Italy's early coronavirus hit on their public health care system so he could attack Bernie's plan for health care for all. :dead:

He also negged me for posting this even though he wasn't one of the posters I was talking about:
You see the same shyt on these boards. There's one upper-class poster who repeatedly says that she'll fight for her tax bracket before she fights for the working class, and there's another poster who says that he identifies more with White people in his own income bracket than with Black folk in "the hood", I believe was the word he used.

OK gotcha. Hey, if you are entrenched in one side gotta actively try and sink the other. You would think that would garner AOC some respect. lol

I just dont think your up to date on how funding actually works. They need funding from the federal government. Nor the politics on how state started projects become mainly federally funded projects.

New York Cross Harbor Rail Tunnel? Not in our lifetime: The Federal Transit Man - Railway Track and Structures

There is only $70 million for advancing an environmental study for the $10 billion (estimated) Cross Harbor Rail Tunnel within the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey 2017-2026 Capital Plan. This leaves a $9.930 billion shortfall to complete this freight rail project. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) continues to claim that there is real progress for his favored project.

Almost every major american infrastructure project of this becomes majority federally funded even if the state started the process.

Nadler and Engel are two peas in a pod.

Name two house members currently that have sway in new york that have been in place long enough to get this done?

I'm also pro bob rush and pressley? I only come at fake POC progressives and white elitist progressivism aka racist progressivism.

You just posted yet another article that mentions Nadler's support but doesn't even mention Engel. You're killing yourself. Where is your evidence that Engel is the big booster for this project? You've given NONE. He submitted a written statement of support in 2015, and then....? You claimed Engel controlled this project, remember?

And your article claims the project ain't even going to happen.

And you contradicted yourself when you claimed "they need funding from the federal government" yet then say Engel has "sway in New York". How does Engel's "sway in New York" help him secure federal funding? The CBC has FAR more federal sway on transport funding than Engel does, Engel is relatively meaningless in that regard.

And you claimed the CBC had already secured the job slots for Black workers in this project, but now you're posting that the project hasn't even been funded yet? So were you lying about the Black workers too? I'm waiting for the receipts on that one.

You legit made up a narrative from thin air. You haven't posted ANYONE else arguing these claims.
