Let that be your crutch.

It's not really a crutch when it's plain as day, I don't need it to prop up my side of the argument or make an excuse.

It's a bunch of black guys (non-white guys at leas) slobbering over Newton and hating Alex Smith and calling him a racial slur. What isn't obvious here.

The thing is, we KNOW Alex wouldn't say that about Rivers or Romo.

I think that's part of the point. He know who he chose to speak on.

A kid with 16 NFL games under his belt. :laff:

But see Rivers and Romo have won games, so it wouldn't make sense to mention that about those two.

I honestly think Alex would have been much better leaving names out or if anything mentioning Kyle Orton for this, but it doesn't make his statement less valid.

Cam will win more games though that's for sure.

Alright. If he wouldve said this shyt about Andy Dalton (i know the stats dont quiet measure up to Cams), this thread would be one and done.

I like Cam too, I just dont see it as that big deal :manny: then again i am a Niners fan........ :pachaha:

Why would he say that about Andy Dalton who didn't put up the numbers Cam put up?

:wtf:

This is a clear cut case of someone taking a pointed jab at someone. Your desire to mesh it with "suppose he"'s is of little relevance.

Dude should have just left names out if he's going to make a general statement like that (which really isn't totally correct in the first place). But for whatever reason Cam was on his mind.

Exactly.

It comes for a deep place. Who knows what that place is.

A deep place?

Maybe Cam is the most obvious person who threw for a gang of yards but didn't win games.

Stafford, Eli, Brees, Bready and Rodgers threw for a bunch of yards and won a lot of games. Cam threw for a bunch and won 6, there's nothing deep about that.

49ers won't win super bowl with Alex Smith as their quarterback, dude is epitome of average. I also think y'all are overrating the talent 49ers have at Wide Receiver now.

And Cam was still only a rookie.

It's not like he was the only player even in the last 5 years that has thrown for a bunch of yards on a team with a losing record. So why single him out? I'm sure he has his reason, which is why it looks bitter.

Cam didn't play for a team that was the worst in the NFL the year prior, winning two games?

:what:

What were you expecting?

It was his rookie year dumb ass!

:what:

Bum ass Alex Smith has been in the league 8 yrs..

So what? It's not like he said "Let me tell you something about Cam Newton, this guys stats mean nothing, my wins mean more"

He made a small reference to Cam due to questioning about his stats not being through the roof. Cam is the most obvious guy last year who threw for a bunch of yards and his team lost, that is all there is to it.

You're taking all this too personal really, which is kinda strange. No one here is saying Cam is bad, almost everyone here is in agreeance Cam is better than Alex Smith.

It's the overly emotional adoration of Cam which makes me question some of you, like you have to fight and defend for him.

49ers could have won the SB this year w/ Alex as the QB.

I don't think people are over-rating the talent, but it might be misjudged right now. No one knows what all the new guys are bringing to the table.

:what:

Alex Smith couldn't complete a third down against the Giants and you think he was gonna help you get that Lombardi Trophy ?

All y'all have is potential at wide receiver spot, no productive starters.
