Alex Smith has only thrown 1 INT in the last 12 games, yet has gone un-noticed

Smith has been a great qb for multiple teams ....Brady ain't doing shyt without Belichick

And NO JAMAL CHARLES? ???

Palmer has great wrs and rbs

Smith has been a good game manager for 2 teams, never once a great QB. He's only thrown for more than 20 tds in one season.

We'll never know what Brady would be without Belichick but he still has 4 rings, and amazing stats. It's not only bold and unsubstantiated, but flat out ignorant to claim Brady would be nothing without Belichick.

I put their stats out there to show why no ones paying attention to Alex Smith, no one is gona put an asterisk next to Brady or Palmer's stats and say well they have a great coach or great receivers, bottom line is they have double or more than double the TDs Smith has and only a few more INTs.

Again Smith has NEVER been a great QB, and this year he has legitimate threats. Maclin and Kelce are both studs, he had Charles to start the season and Charcandrick West is no joke either.

My comment was more to do with why the media is overlooking him though.

You must not watch his games. To call him "great" is just...I don't even understand how you could say such a thing.

Dude got some good talent around him and an offensively gifted coach and still mustering the same ole 20TDs, 3200 yard seasons. Great?:mjlol:

I do not go out of my way to watch Chiefs games but dude put his team in position to go to a SB and yes both harbaugh and kaep are jokes now while Smith hasn't lost a game In over 2 months

How does he suck again? :patrice:

He's a game manager, he's not gona win games for you but he's also not gona lose them for you. With a great defense and enough fire power on offense he can take a team all the way. Same way Trent Dilfer got it done for the Ravens in 2000.

That's all that needed to be said. Kaep has a completely different team and coaching staff. Alex Smith is playing no differently than he did at the beginning of the season when the Chiefs were 1-5. The only difference is the Chiefs D stepped their game up. There has been no change in Smith's play. His numbers are right on par with what they have always been. He put his team in position to win the SuperBowl? When exactly? The next year Kaep got to the SB and almost won it.

Watch more games and you'll see why no one is talking about him. He is a guy who will not throw 4 picks and sink your team, but he's not going to carry your team or even do anything beyond dining and dunking. If his running game falls off and/or his D is just OK, he's done....just have to look at the first 1/3 of the season.

who cares if you get 5 yards a throw or 20 yards .. people call him a game manager like its a bad thing

the only stat you should be concerned with is the W or the L and Alex knows how to get wins

some yall making the same mistake the 49ers did. Ive done see Philip Rivers put up 500 yards in a game in a loss :heh: maybe being a "game manager" if his offense spent more time on the field instead of just marching down it for TDs , his defense would of got more of a break and he would of won :heh:

a win is a win. regardless of 200 yards from the QB and 2 tds or if its 350 yards 4 tds

why would you care about anything else :what:

I'll admit back before the season start I thought he would be a good QB for the Bengals because he wouldn't make mistakes and he would just manage the game I would claim that he is by definition an excellent game managing QB he won't win you any games but he won't lose you any games..,,But there is no way I can say he's great..,In fact I would keep the red rifle over him at this point.
