Alex Smith has only thrown 1 INT in the last 12 games, yet has gone un-noticed

He's been good which he has been for a while now but not spectacular to the point where you have to bring his name up when discussing great QB's.

He only has 16 tds on the year and 4 ints.

Brady has 36 tds and 7 ints.

Palmer has 32 and 9.

Alex Smith is a great game manager but nothing more, and therefore not worth discussing.

Wasn't his fault the 49ers missed the superbowl

Look at his stats that year breh
Uh, did you watch the NFC championship game?

12-26 for 196. And 73 of it was off a Vernon Davis catch and run. He couldn't generate any offense. He's absolutely the reason they lost. Even with Kyle Williams 2 fumbled they could've won that game easily if he could've completed a pass

He's a game manager, he's not gona win games for you but he's also not gona lose them for you. With a great defense and enough fire power Same way Trent Dilfer got it done for the Ravens in 2000.

You can say that about almost any starting QB though. What QB couldn't have won in the 2000 Ravens?

Alex Smith had a monster defense, a strong running game, and decent weapons in 2011 and he was inept in the NFC championship.

who cares if you get 5 yards a throw or 20 yards .. people call him a game manager like its a bad thing

the only stat you should be concerned with is the W or the L and Alex knows how to get wins

some yall making the same mistake the 49ers did. Ive done see Philip Rivers put up 500 yards in a game in a loss :heh: maybe being a "game manager" if his offense spent more time on the field instead of just marching down it for TDs , his defense would of got more of a break and he would of won :heh:

a win is a win. regardless of 200 yards from the QB and 2 tds or if its 350 yards 4 tds

why would you care about anything else :what:

Question for you. Why are the Chiefs winning now? Is Smith playing better?

You really thinking Rivers would be losing games in KC? Stop this nonsense. Smith is getting wins now because everyone around him has improved. He hasn't improved at all from week 2 to now.

Alex Smith ballwashers are some of the weirdest people on the planet. Now all of a sudden his play allows the D to play better. I have never heard this about any other game managing QB.

I'll admit back before the season start I thought he would be a good QB for the Bengals because he wouldn't make mistakes and he would just manage the game I would claim that he is by definition an excellent game managing QB he won't win you any games but he won't lose you any games..,,But there is no way I can say he's great..,In fact I would keep the red rifle over him at this point.

But why is this a good thing? Why should he get any props for not losing games when he doesn't win them either? All that says to me is he needs a lot of help to win. How good, great or excellent is used to describe him is beyond me. :heh:

Here we go again with this play scared noodle arm fakkit getting praise for the Chiefs defense balling out...:beli:

Anyone who has paid attention to that team knows their defense is the sole reason they've won 9 in a row...The defense even outscored the offense in a few of those games...

Smith been checking the ball down all game to the RBs like he always does...
