What does this mean?
They saying Aldis is the only good actor on the show. The first part is saying the other actors are trash or just got saddled with bad characters due to the writing. Could be either or. Some posters mentioned two john and bobby trey being in underground. Maybe they can speak to the acting chops of the actors.

I watched the first episode for free and caught a preview reel. Thinking of copping prime for the month just watch the rest. Seeing mixed reviews. Black male lead, so I'll support with my wallet

Cats trippin thinking the acting is bad, I dont see that at all.

Didn’t realize Sampson is that cat from the old spice commercials, now that one line from Cross makes sense :mjlol:

I don’t agree with the acting being bad. some characters seemed to be written poorly to me, for what the show is. When it wasn’t that it was putting characters in weird situations. Malika’s character was annoying af.

I blame a lot of the things I didn’t like on the executive producers, probably pushing the writers into adding too much conflict and too many antagonists.

I did enjoy the show overall, I saw way more positives than negatives. I just think they need to let Aldis steer the ship more, minimize the twists lol.

An above average detective/mystery show, i enjoyed it but it’s not on the level of something like Bosch

i understood why they made the white girl that woman’s daughter to throw the viewer off the the hook, but it’s just not realistic lol

i think my main problem isn’t the acting or writing, its simply a lot of been there done that, thats kind of been done better in other shows already. Also, like someone else said it feels like there’s not enough black people behind the scenes working on it. I can’t prove that but it’s just a feeling I get.

This shyt was aiiiiiiight.

The acting was definitely bad outside of Aldis and the stalker subplot was just doing too much at the end it felt like they jammed 2 books together and it got real hokey at the end.

The Old Spice dude being in this cracked me up tho
