Hold up, you telling me half the cats in here who been praising the Imax releases for numerous movies didnt even know they werent getting a real Imax screen even though they were getting gouged out the ass?
most people dont even know what imax stands for...they were just conditioned to accept and praise it because everyone else didHold up, you telling me half the cats in here who been praising the Imax releases for numerous movies didnt even know they werent getting a real Imax screen even though they were getting gouged out the ass?
*re-edit* Okay the map has a "dome" on Charlotte. I don't know if that means it's extra-IMAX'd. Those other theaters are in like Concord and Weddington, nearby Charlotte.

Of course I get the fake shyt and Charlotte gets the real. Piece of shyt stateMy fault. When I looked at this link:
I looked at the map, and zoomed in to NC. Clicking the theater on Raleigh is green, the one on Charlotte is red.
*edit* I didn't see the list underneath. So is the map accurate or the list?

U GONNA HAVE TO GIVE ME THAT LINK B, SAY IT AINT SOAiight, I had to do some real research to figure this shyt out.
Apparently, the one in Raleigh uses IMAX DMR, which basically upscales 35 mm film to "near 70 mm" quality. Not true IMAX
The last (and only as far as I can recall) movie I saw at that theater was Avatar. Probably the most beautiful fictional world I had ever seen. I'm not driving 2.5 hr to watch DKR in Charlotte so DMR will have to do...
FYI, that list is not complete
IMAX Theaters Showing Dark Knight Rises on Film
I already copped tix for this joint on Thursday, along with the prior 2 movies, so Im stuck.
But if its good, I will be watching TDKR at Air and Space museum in DC.
Im good on the whole Imax thing. I mean its not like we are going to miss anything of even minute importance. Yeah you get to see more of the city when they do the pan out shots but when Bane is doing something please believe i will be able to see him on the standard screen.
Only time ill pay for Imax is if i see one of those 3D nature joints. Saw one on the ocean and it was crazy. It seemed like you were actually in the kelp forest.
