As much as tickets cost now, I'm good watching regular 2D. You paying more money to watch the same damn movie.

Its like somebody sitting in first class that paid 700 dollars for a ticket sitting next to a guy that paid 250. They going to the same destination.

....except you aren't watching the same movie. For over an hour of TDKR, you will be seeing less movie than everyone else.

Also, in your shytty analogy, first class would be compared to someone in coach.

For me, it's not just about the movie.....it's about the experience. When you see a movie that was made for IMAX in a real IMAX theater, it makes that movie/experience so much better.

Plus, I'm not cheap....I don't mind spending the extra money

Wait a minute, now two posters provided links of additional theaters that have "True" IMAX. For my state, North Carolina, your link says there's only one - in Charlotte. The other poster's link says there's only one - in Raleigh. The fukk?

If in doubt, call the theater. Ask if they are showing the movie in 70MM FILM.

I was about to be mad as fukk till I saw that link. I'm out in Tampa on vacation and was gonna hit up MOSI for TDK because it's claiming to be a dome IMAX theater. Better be fukkin IMAX.

Only one true IMAX theater in AZ

I'm actually at a hotel down the street from it as I type this post...but I'll be back in Tucson when I see DKR. I do definitely feel cheated.

I looked at the map, and zoomed in to NC. Clicking the theater on Raleigh is green, the one on Charlotte is red.

*edit* I didn't see the list underneath. So is the map accurate or the list?

*re-edit* Okay the map has a "dome" on Charlotte. I don't know if that means it's extra-IMAX'd. Those other theaters are in like Concord and Weddington, nearby Charlotte.

the one in Raleigh may be the movie theater "IMAX" which is what people are calling fake.
