I still like Ras Kass's "Home Sweet Home" though.

ALC was trying to sell this beat to EVERYBODY! He did Ras crazy dirty! HAHA!!

In hindsight it was a terrible business decision. Imagine if he still had a tight relationship with Al.

Artists don’t always make for the best businesspeople. Also I can see Rass’s point of view on if Alch wasn’t trust worthy with a beat he’d already PAID FOR then why in the world would you trust him ever again? Once bitten twice shy is a real thing. Rass probably saw a white man who got over on him (as white men are known to do) and felt he understood the nature of the threat.

Ras reconciled with Al years later. They've made music together since "We Gon Make It" and Ras said that Al started bugging out again, so Ras stopped biting his tongue and just aired out all of his dirty laundry (Al talking shyt about DJ Muggs behind his back, Ras saving Alchemist more than once from getting his ass beat).

None of their personal beef would have had any effect on Ras's career because he was still signed to Priority at this time. And if you've followed his career, you know Ras and Priority had a terrible business relationship.

1. It was destiny, even though Hearing Esco or Hov on it would be crazy.
