im not really sure what you are trying to say, are you saying that rich people live in zones with failed public schools?.....so what if they do?

but either way im not sure where you got that from, the first sentence of the article says

To be fair. Just because the article says "failing school" doesn't mean that's an actual stipulation of the bill.

Full disclosure, I live in South Carolina where most schools are failing. In this state rich and poor live extremely close together. Its not usual for million dollar homes to be within distance of the poorest people the US has to offer The kids are supposed to go to the same schools, but they don't. The rich go to private academies. This is especially true in rural counties with one or two high schools. Now the elites will receive a tax credit for privately educating their kids because the public option will be considered a failing school. At the same time, the no nikkas policy will be in full effect at the private academies.

Where do you go when all the schools are failing?

And how do you get your kid accross town to and from another school if you don't have a vehicle or you have to be to work. What if you have multiple kids?

These plans only increase inequality. The students who's parents care and have enough resources to take advantage of the plans are usualy the ones that would be doing well anyway. It's the students that don't have this guidance/resources that we should be concentrating on. These plans will just put goverment money in private schools that aren't friendly poor/underperforming kids anyway.

But the schools aren't the problem. The parents are the problem.

yeah but the the problem is the way public schools are organized bureaucratically is not designed to handle children who dont have good parents, that is why its better to close the schools and create a new structure that is meant to handle bad parents

WTF did he think was gonna happen? And he wanted TO allow schools to choose who they wanted? Allowing schools to choose some students while not others is THE VERY FUKIN DEFINITION of seperate but equal.

You know damn well 'richer" schools weren't letting Tyrone and Paco in.
LOL @ NOT wanting a brain drain
LOL @ NOT wanting sports schools
LOL @ NOT wanting problem children herded into bad schools.

The fuk did he think was gonna happen with this law? What's sad is giving SCHOOLS the choice on who they get would have only made the problem worse.

lol while i kind of agree with you at some point...if these highschools want to incorpate a we choose our students kind of system..they need to put in place a grading system of who gets the pass or the boot liike what the japanese /asians do..but knowing alabama ..lol :comeon::comeon:
