this is why akoon got a song with that racist spic snitch9 coming out. I used to think breh was a real one, clearly he's a fool. He should also thank FBA for his successful music career instead of saying dumb shyt like this. FBA are due reparations in the trillions, so we'll keep bringing up the past!

No hoe, you sound stupid as fucc... look further into your “research”...
I don’t need to I have family there, plenty of AA/West Indians who have gained dual citizenship. The year of return is a long term incentivized project to get people to move back or at least have business/ financial interests.

All the ones complaining would have been the same ones whining if African presidents had ignored them.

Most African Americans have no Somali ancestry, their ancestry is mainly west/ central/ slight variance of North African. Why would you go to Somalia expecting them to give you citizenship when they have launched no such a program.
I was strictly speaking of countries who do want to repatriate African diasporans.
regardless you can’t speak like that in a broad manner you have to be specific, you think half these people can’t point to these places on a map. Ghana’s a special case, they can afford to that the rest of these countries are a complete shyt show and need serious governing and guidance before anything tangible can even happen

I’m pretty sure the average ADOS doesn’t think about slavery everyday. We’re not having social events, and talking about slavery. So whenever we’re accused of “not getting over slavery”, it’s obvious the person is just criticizing us. Most of these people have never been in the room heading an ADOS person talking about slavery, and the average ADOS person’s social media isn’t full of slavery references.

Where are they getting this from?

You’re right and I don’t agree with most what of he stated but I’m focusing on a particular point he made about what happened to black people in this country seems to always get brushed aside for the causes of others or you may get some sympathy but no direct legislation to atone for the injustices and that’s because they don’t care.

Yes fighting can make a difference, hopefully.. but let’s be real they don’t care unless they can get something out of it...

No argument there, i just hate that they have given reparations to pretty much every other.group except Black Americans

Its called fighting until you get what ypu want

Go to Africa in large droves, and see how much brotherly love you'll get. They don't get along with each other, and here you come with more money then them trying to tell them how to live? Keep dreaming

At least here, I can fight for my rights. Akon is telling us to leave while they're coming here. Why can they come here, and get money? Because black Americans fought back

The real issue is not enough of us are fighting, if we united shyt would get done much faster, but too many want to play the "I'm not into politics" game then complain when shyt happens. G-unit stayed talking that dumb shyt(no disrespect to you)

I actually don’t really agree with him about leaving part because that’s a personal choice. But the part about Western countries in this case USA don’t care about black people goes without saying.

If I were him I would have said rather not to put your eggs all in one basket. Many people have never stepped in Africa and speak from a reality they have never known. Those who have, hVe a different perspective on things. Those who are smart will look at the continent as an opportunity.

There are Lebabese, Indians, whites, Chinese living in africa and living the high life who hate Blacks but love the continent and don’t want to leave but AA will throw the baby with the bathwater due to pettiness sound foolish. The continent has made a lot of foreigners wealthy, if AA only look to America and don’t take advantage of the opportunities presented to them, they will live to regret it.

He could have been speaking of the slavery of the past. I didn’t watch the video, but just by my own deduction I kind of agree with him. Slavery history, isn’t a large part of history that Africans
Speak about, it’s more so colonialism and it’s impact.

Slavery has a larger place in AA history because that’s a huge part of what shape the African American experience in US. Hence why the mingling of Africans with diaspora means business exchange as well as historical exchange. At the end of the day these people who had been captured were someone’s aun,t, cousin, brother, mother or father on the continent so our destinies our tied.

Fully agree, I didn't watch the vid neither because I'm skeptical about Akon's whole approach in general. And I more less has written the same as the bolded then erased it because I didn't want to be understood differently, but Africa has had slavery before the transatlantic slave trade, THEN had colonization, now neocolonialism and imperialism, hunger, wars, poverty, etc. Transatlantic slave is one part, a big one of course, but only one part among many tragedies that has struck the continent, to this day. Apartheid ended only 30 years ago. There's still dictatorships disguised as democracies. My own country is basically split in half due to a on and off civil war that has been going on for almost a decade. East of Congo. Erithrea. Terrorism in the Sahel. The list goes on.

Every since he said American rappers don't own expensive cars, they rent them, but African rappers really own their cars, in front of a crowd of west africans, I seen his bullshyt.

Imagine what he says ablut us when the cameras aren't rolling

He got rich off us, emulating rappers who own the expensive cars, then leaves and says we're fake, while Africans are real. Then I hear he lied about his criminal past, he's a clown
Dude is a snake

Everything aside I do think he’s right about America failing to consult with black Americans. How is it that all these people get reparations and yet America struggles to give reparations to ADOS. Makes no sense smh.
Because that means we can come up, and maybe past them

I seen Yvette Carnell show a tweet from a white guy showing if we get reparations we may surpass whites in finances, and that is why he wasn't for reparations. Of course he didn't say it outright, but any fool can see what he was saying

Remember, it's over 40,000,000 of us, we can change the face of America, and that is their fear
